Biotechnology student, Nicolas Sardella completed his last co-op work term this fall for Environment and Climate Change Canada.
When asked about his co-op experience at Brock University, Nicolas said, "My Brock Co-op experience was the most valuable takeaway from my Biotechnology degree at Brock. With the help of Brock's Co-op staff, I was able to find placements that provided me with relevant hands-on experience in laboratories which I would not have been exposed to in a teaching laboratory, and I was also provided with experiences that allowed me to grow my network with potential employers for after graduation."

BBA student, Calum Farrell recently worked as an Associate Financial Analyst for Canadian Tire Financial Services.
When asked for his advice to students looking for their first co-op job, he said, "Use Co-op networking events as an opportunity to make industry connections as well as to see what co-op employers are looking for in a co-op candidate. When applying to co-op positions take a quality over quantity approach. Research the Company and Team you're applying to; see if their core values align with yours. When on the job be curious, communicate and look for ways to add value (eg. improve a process)".

Tourism Management student, Maddy Fraser recently completed a work term at the Walt Disney Company as part of her exchange with the University of Florida.
When asked what advice she had for students on their first job search term, Maddy said, "Be sure to explore all your options in the field of work you are interested in. I always looked for out of province jobs related to my field of interest and I found that I gained more knowledge this way being on my own and exploring the new areas. This way also helps because now you are networking with people outside of your own province".
