Although our events are done for the year, check out this event this event ran by our department:
In Conversation with Jennifer Jakobi: Leadership and Longevity in STEM invites students, trainees, and faculty to engage in an interactive discussion on building a sustainable and impactful career in STEM. Dr. Jakobi is a professor and researcher in neuromuscular and exercise physiology whose NSERC funded research focuses on motor control, functional independence, and aging, with particular attention to s*x related differences in neuromuscular function. Drawing on her experience leading both fundamental and applied research programs, as well as her national work advancing equity and mentorship through initiatives such as iSTAND, this conversation will explore leadership, career decision making, and long term success in STEM. While centering women’s experiences, the event is open to all students and allies interested in inclusive research environments and academic career pathways.
