Georgina H. Black '85 left an indelible mark on Ridley College through her exceptional leadership and devoted service as a member of the Board of Governors and as the first female Chair of the Board, amassing 15 years of service. Her commitment to the school involved thousands of hours of decision-making, strategic planning, and community engagement, reflecting her dedication to Ridley's mission and values. Georgina played a pivotal role in modernizing the governance structure, guiding the development of strategic plans, and nurturing Ridley's growth as an IB World school and a pioneer in positive education. Beyond her professional achievements, she served as an inspirational leader and mentor, impacting countless students and colleagues with her wisdom, warmth, and charisma. Georgina's legacy of leadership, support, and friendship leaves a lasting imprint on Ridley College, for which she is deeply appreciated and respected.

Suzanne Court '86, a dedicated philanthropist and community leader, has made significant strides in supporting youth in the Niagara Region through her charitable endeavors. Founding the STEP Youth Resource Centre under the RRPC Innovation Foundation, Suzanne has created a safe haven for at-risk youth, providing crucial support services ranging from counseling to academic assistance. Her unwavering commitment to empowering young people is evident in STEP's client-led approach, aiming to nurture self-advocacy and resilience. Despite challenges, Suzanne's resilience and leadership, honed through her diverse experiences in industries like automotive and steel, have propelled her charitable initiatives forward. Moreover, Suzanne's philanthropy extends beyond STEP, encompassing various educational and community-based projects through the RRPC Innovation Foundation. As the driving force behind numerous transformative projects, and the development of innovative arts and educational programs, she is reshaping perceptions of Indigenous heritage and fostering meaningful dialogue. From receiving accolades for her contributions to winning awards for her cultural initiatives, Michele-Elise's commitment to bridging divides and honoring her heritage is truly inspiring.

Alex Clark '06 has forged an impressive career path characterized by her commitment to supporting entrepreneurship and advocating for good policies. Beginning her journey in politics, Alex transitioned to the tech industry, where she played instrumental roles in companies like Microsoft and Shopify. At Shopify, she pioneered the company's first Global Affairs team, advocating for policies to remove barriers for entrepreneurs globally. Her leadership at Shopify expanded further as she became Chief of Staff to the CEO, Tobias Lutke, and most recently as Vice President of Global Communications and Public Affairs. Beyond her corporate roles, Alex co-launched Backbone Angels, a collective of angel investors prioritizing investments in underrepresented founders. Throughout her career, Alex's dedication to empowering entrepreneurs and fostering diversity has been unwavering, making her a pivotal figure in shaping Canada's economic landscape.

Nancy Ting '94 has navigated a diverse and impactful career journey, leveraging her engineering background to make a difference in various industries across the globe. From programming internet applications at IBM to strategy consulting at Deloitte, and even venturing into entrepreneurship with her own fashion magazine, Nancy's path eventually led her to Google, as Head of Consumer and Brand Marketing in Hong Kong. Her role involves overseeing products like YouTube, Google Play, and Google Classroom, playing a pivotal role in adapting to the digital shift accelerated by the pandemic. Nancy's career advice emphasizes the importance of foundational skills, adaptability, and aligning one's work with personal passions. As she continues to climb professional mountains, Nancy remains committed to her wellbeing, quality time with her daughter, and embracing new challenges with open arms.
