Last Friday, our Sixth Learning Day of the program was held at the Niagara College campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake, the theme of the day being "Topics in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity in Niagara."
The day began with a Traditional Opening and talk on Indigenous Topics and History, both led by Karl Dockstader. After a short break, this was followed by two activities led by our own PAC members Carrie Price, Karen Ogidigben, and Patrick Segawa.
After Lunch, the CLDP heard from Yusuf Al-Harazi, who facilitated his workshop on Becoming an Inclusive Leader. Lastly, Jim McEwen wrapped up the day with a discussion on the Value of Accessibility in Promoting Inclusion, which ended the event on an insightful note. Thank you to all of our guests and volunteers for making this day possible!
