Introducing our BLCS Special Award Winner for the “Society Advancement Award”. Awarded to a new Brock Leaders Citizenship Society initiative that, through its success, has furthered the reach and impact of the Society

This year, the award goes to the: Wellness Videos Initiatives ()!

Wellness videos is a new initiative that BLCS students started this year. Students utilized their own skills and passions to make videos promoting physical and mental well-being during the pandemic.

These videos were shared with the community to help people feel connected during these challenging times. They partnered with cyber seniors to deliver webinars live to the seniors of Niagara. Overall Wellness Videos was a fun way for students to share their own passions with others while giving back to the community.

Each year, the Brock Leaders Citizenship Society (BLCS) comes together at the end of the year to celebrate all the incredible accomplishments of our members. This year especially, we would like to say thank you to everyone who made it possible to host BLCS online.

We also understand how difficult it was for students to pivot to online learning this year. As a community, everyone managed to remain exemplary students and lead change despite the global circumstances. Congratulations to everyone for showing how adaptable BLCS students are to various challenges and curveballs.

We would also like to say a warm goodbye to our graduating students this year and wish them well on their future endeavours!

Stay tuned for our award winners announcement for the 2020-2021 academic year!

✨Member Spotlight ✨

Meet Grace: 1st Year Business Administration.

Grace loves to volunteer in her community and beyond! She has had the great privilege to do missionary work in Guatemala a few years back with Wells of Hope. Grace started her own small business called LIFEbeads (.beads) when she got back from Guatemala where she makes bracelets to support youth who struggle with their mental health, and then donates her proceeds to Pathstone Mental Health () in Niagara. Grace has also been a huge help in our BLCS Wellness Videos Initiative.

“I believe that a leader doesn’t have to be the loudest one in the group. Quiet leaders often have the best intentions- doing things without the desire to be recognized. Those are the people I admire and someone I always strive to be. I am so excited to be apart of BLCS and I can’t wait to get involved in and around the Brock community!” ~Grace Teal
