CTR Catholic is proud to recognize Trustee Harry Salm for his national leadership as president of the Canadian Catholic School Trustees’ Association (CCSTA).

On June 6, the CCSTA Board of Directors gathered at St. Mary’s Cathedral following the Commissioning Ceremony, held at the conclusion of Mass celebrated by Archbishop Murray Chatlain and Archbishop Albert LeGatt. The commissioning was led by Fr. Stefano Penna, CCSTA Chaplain. Mr. Salm’s leadership reflects a deep commitment to Catholic education, faithful service and the important role Catholic school trustees play in supporting and protecting publicly funded Catholic education across Canada. We are grateful for Mr. Salm’s dedication, humility, and faith.

Congratulations to CTR Catholic teachers Nik George and Bruce Dickie from Holy Trinity Academy, and Sawyer Sprague from St. John Paul II Collegiate, who entered into full communion with the Catholic Church on Sunday, June 14 through the CCSSA RCIA Teacher Pilot Program.

Under the direction of Stacey MacNeil-Ayeh, and with the support of Bishop William McGrattan and Fr. Vijay, these teachers celebrated this beautiful step in their faith journey at St. James Parish in Okotoks, surrounded and welcomed by the parish community.

Special thanks to Fr. Vijay, Jennifer Dabrowski and Huy Nguyen for their guidance throughout the process, and to sponsors Cassidy Behm, Jennifer Quinlan and Jason Krueger for walking alongside them.
