A beautiful reflection and from St.St. Mary's School !
There are so many moments in our school days I wish we could capture for you—the big celebrations and discoveries, but also the simple moments that quietly reveal who we are becoming.
Today, I asked a class who would like to lead our End of Day Blessing. Every hand shot into the air. I finally had to close my eyes and choose!
What a beautiful thing—to see children excited to pray and eager to lead others in faith. When a child’s voice comes over our announcements at the end of the day, they aren’t simply doing a school job. They are becoming spiritual leaders. Their faith is becoming their own.
And when that final bell rings, we aren't simply saying, “Go home.” We are saying, “Go forth.” Go forth and bring Christ into your homes, teams, neighbourhoods and interactions with others. We don’t simply dismiss our students. We send them forth!
Little moments such as these make me so grateful to be back to school!
