Noreen Gray brings The ELDOA method to Southern Alberta and the foothills region. E-mail [email protected] to learn more.

ELDOA is a French acronym that translates to Longitudinal Stretching with Osteo-Articular Decoaptation. The ELDOA method consists of postural exercises (LOADS) that target specific joints and work to decompress, relieve pain, and restore function and balance. Noreen is bringing this amazing class to Okotoks and the Foothills region, feel free to contact her with any questions you may have.

Did you know that the trapezius muscle plays an important roll in ELDOA exercises? We typically know this large diamond shaped muscle to be a major player in cervical, shoulder, and upper thoracic movement and stability. Additionally, we use the linear tension of this muscle to help fix the vertebrae along the thoracic spine to allow decoaptation (or separating forces) and we can coordinate extreme range contraction of the muscle to help leverage elongation of the spine (or axial extension) to help with tensile linear force to open vertebral levels of the cervical spine. Extreme range is a specific activation contraction that is physiological to the muscular tissue that creates and elongated response separating the “z-lines” during contraction instead of shortening. This action is what drive the opening effect in the ELDOA. special thanks to fitclubny for the image.

My curve is lower. Always in some sort of pain. Eldoa has been extremely helpful

Thank you  for including us in this FUNDAMENTAL podcast about dealing with back pain.

THIS IS THE RAW TRUTH.

What pain does to someone is far more than just pain. It affects your physical health, your mental health and your spiritual health. It slowly and painfully diminishes your own self.
Listening to this podcast is making us dwell up in sympathy with Todd on his story about pain. And we definitely know that he is not the only one. Can you resonate with Todd and his story? Do you know someone who deals with pain? Please share this episode with them. We are all here to help.

Todd, we are grateful that Bryce could add ELDOA to your path of healing and grateful that you now can continue to make IMPACT and be your best self.

Myofascial stretching is fairly new but gaining in popularity as it’s becoming known as being so effective. Myofascial stretching is very different from classic stretching techniques. Instead of stretching out the muscle itself, it uses precise postures and highly coordinated movements to target the fascia surrounding specific muscles and joints. It gives space! 💪🏻🙌

Fascia the connective tissues that envelops individual organs and muscles throughout the body. Fascia is super important because 1) it holds everything in place within your body and 2) it provides nourishment to all organs and tissues.

These self-normalizing techniques called ELDOAS designed by Dr. Guy Voyer designed to create space in a given articulation or joint

Dr. Guy Voyer DO is a brilliant French man who created the ELDOA Method to find and treat the the cause of back pain not just treat symptoms. It is a form of exercises/stretches that focus on postural normalization in relation to Fascial chains. All of my clients already know about these and have felt the incredible results. If you’re suffering and are interested in learning more, feel free to contact

Thankyou Leila for your words to add to my page. Lol😍

Hepatic Flexure: The concept of tissue relationship allows one to relate different structures involved in a lesion. Looking at the fascia of this level allows us to see the link between the right phreno-colic connecting the diaphragm and right colic angle (light blue). We can see another ligament which connects the right colic angle to the terminal end of the greater curvature of the stomach (dark blue). This ligament is a reinforcement of the greater omentum, a continuation of the phreno-colic ligament, and part of the gastro-colic ligament at this section. The hepato-colic (underside of the liver, red) supports the suspensory ligament of the phreno-colic angle, but it is also helped by the reno-colic (antero-supero surface of kidney, yellow) and the cystico-colic ligaments (gallbaladder, pink). Tension of the cecum pulls the ascending colon down, and puts in tension not one, but five major players of the human body - the liver, gallbladder, stomach, kidney, and the diaphragm. If one is in tension, all are affected, and this will undoubtedly have an impact on the lumbar spine.
