Due to Serendipity having to close its doors at the end of the month, Serendipity will be having a garage sale to sell off some of our school items.

After much reflection and with heavy hearts, we announce the closure of Serendipity Pre-Kindergarten.
For many decades our school has been a place of learning, laughter, friendship, and growth. We are incredibly grateful to the teachers (current and former), families, additional staff, volunteers, and community members who helped make Serendipity such a special part of so many children’s early years.

Our mission has always been to provide a nurturing and enriching environment for young learners. While this chapter is coming to an end, we are proud of the impact Serendipity Pre-Kindergarten has had on the lives of countless children and families in the town of Okotoks and the surrounding area.

We want to sincerely thank everyone who has supported us over the years. Your trust, kindness, and involvement meant everything to us. Serendipity wouldn't have been the amazing place it has been without community support.

To our students both current and former: thank you for the joy and wonder you brought into our classroom each day. Watching you learn and grow has been our greatest privilege. Please feel free to come say hi if you see any of the Serendipity family around town!

Though our doors may close, the memories and connections created at Serendipity will always remain close to our hearts.

Exciting news to our current, former and future families. Serendipity will be transitioning into a Part-time AND Full-time pre-kindergarten/daycare!

What does this mean? This means Serendipity will now be offering 5 day a week care starting September of 2026 from 7:00am-5:30pm/6:00pm (depending on demand). Affordability grant options for fulltime care will be available.

What about pre-school? We will still be offering part-time preschool as well! Students for preschool will attend for 3 hours a day 2-3 days per week depending on the class you choose.

The reason we are advertising this change now is because we are hoping to see what our level of demand will be for both the pre-school program as well as the daycare program. It is no secret that many families are not able to do the part-time program we currently offer due to work schedules and other circumstances. We want to be more accessible to a larger group of families and provide the same amazing care and education we have and will continue to offer to our pre-kindergarten students.

We will be taking students ranging from ages 3-6. Students must be fully potty trained even for our full day programs. We will not be offering a lunch/snack options through the school so parents will need to be packing their lunches and snacks everyday.

We do not currently have our registration up on our website as we are working though changes within the program, however we are creating a waitlist with contact information for those who wish to be notified when we are ready to begin registering students. Please email us at [email protected] to let us know you would like to be put on our waitlist and let us know if you are interested in full time daycare or our part time preschool programs.

Serendipity is so excited to let our families (old and new) know that we have a movie fundraiser on March 21st 2026 at 11:00am. We will be renting out the theater to view "How to Train your Dragon".
Cost: All tickets will be $11.65 per seat for recliners and $8.00 per seat for the standard seats. Any snacks/food/drink can be purchased through the theatre as normal on the day of.
E-transfers can be sent to [email protected]. Please put in the message section how many tickets you are purchasing, whether you are selecting standard seats or recliners, and the name of at least one of the ticket holders.

Casino Update:

There was an error with some communication but it has been confirmed we will be at the Blackfoot ACE casino and NOT the airport ACE casino.

We also only need one more volunteer for the banker position during the day shift on January 21st as well as the 4 backup positions (one for day shift and one for evening shift each day). Back up positions can be contacted to cover the shift up to one hour before the shift begins.
