I'm super excited to be a sketch artist along with Calgary Artist Leme at Jay Ingram's Alien Talk Show for Beakerhead this Saturday from 5-6:30 pm at Contemporary Calgary (Old Planetarium for old timers like myself).

Renowned Science communicator Jay Ingram and the Beakerhead band will orchestrate an exploration of extraterrestrial life!

A panel of guests from Sci-fi enthusiasts to astrophysicists will describe their visions of the unknown to sketch artists Leme and yours truly to sketch for the audience.

This event is free to the public and kid friendly!

Beakerhead Contemporary Calgary

Jane Doe the mule deer has faithfully sat and let me paint her portrait in our backyard for the last few weeks.

She inspired me to do a large oil portrait of her in the style of my favourite portrait artist, John Singer Sargent.

Titled "Meet Jane Doe," I have placed her in a segment of a Sargent painting "The Daughters of Edward Darley Boit."

This painting, along with some very affordable watercolours of Jane are currently on display, and on sale at the Members show at the Okotoks Art Gallery until September 7th.
