Happy New Year Sing n' Strummers!

I'm looking at running a group lesson for beginner ukulele out of my house beginning in February 2024.

I'm open to hearing what day would work for you. So far, I'm thinking Wednesday evenings. Is there a preferred time?

I'm thinking 5 to 5:45p.m.

It would $15 per student per lesson for a 45 min lesson. Groups of 5 students preferred.

Students will need to bring their own Ukulele.

Let me know and we can hopefully we can inspire some young musicians in 2024.

I'm trying to fill up my Tuesdays with Preschool Music. We learn the elements of tempo, dynamics, melody, high/low, beat, rhythm through songs, music games, stories and playing instruments.

I come to your dayhome and bring everything needed for the lesson.

$50/class.

Booked one dayhome, and am open to more day homes or homeschool groups that would like music lessons!

A couple of updates for Sing n' Strum:

1. I've booked my first pre-school music lesson with a local dayhome. I come with everything needed (activities, instruments, music, speaker etc.) All you have to do is book a day with me and I will teach age appropriate music lessons to your dayhome kids.

2. Homeschool music opportunity:
I can come to your home and teach group music lessons. This can be ukulele (students responsible for having their own ukulele) or a general music lesson. I can plan and create a lesson tailored to any topic of your choosing.

3. Group Ukulele Lessons:
I have had a lot of interest in this, but did not have enough Registrations to run the program. I would love feedback on what time/day works best for you, so we can make this class run!

After receiving feedback, I've decided to postpone programs until later this fall to see if there is more interest. Thank you for following, and I appreciate any insights you have for days you would like to see lessons on.

UPDATE:

There has been limited interest in Children's Choir, so I have decided to expand the age group.

Children's Choir will be open for kids ages 6 to 12 (grades 1 through 6). It will be done in a show Choir format with little actions for each of the songs.

(September 20 to December 13):
1. Children's Choir (ages 6 to 12)- Wednesdays 4:15 to 5 p.m.

Lessons will be held at the Elks Hall in Okotoks.

Lessons will be $195 for the 13 week session ($15/session).

*Note Dec. 13 Session (time is TBD) will be a culminating presentation of learning by the kids.

Choir needs a minimum of 10 to register and will get capped at 18.

Things to know when your register your child at Sing n' Strum Music Academy :

1. I am a certified teacher and have been teaching for more than 10 years.
2. My philosophy of teaching is to provide a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students, through fun and structured learning activities.
3. I have my criminal record check and vulnerable sector screening.
4. Parents are welcome to stay and watch the lesson, or drop your child and return to pick them up.
5. Music invites the right and left side of the brain to work together by being creative, expressive, linear, and mathematical simultaneously.
6. Your child will have fun, and have the building blocks to expand their music knowledge.
