Myofascial Pain Syndrome vs. Fibromyalgia — they’re often confused, but they’re not the same.

👉 Myofascial pain usually comes from tight, knotted muscles and trigger points that can be treated with hands-on therapy and corrective movement.

👉 Fibromyalgia involves widespread pain, fatigue, and heightened pain sensitivity affecting the whole body.

Superhero Stance

Are you entering a new career?
Are you going to start your exams?
Are you in need of calling your inner power?

Try this....
Stand with your feet just out side of hip width,
Place your hands on your hips and look to the horizon.
Focus on what you want by visualizing the outcome to desire, as you hold this position for 120 seconds.

The Superhero Stance projects power. It's an example what psychologist refer to as an open posture. This Stance lowers levels of cortisol (a stress hormone) and increases levels of testosterone, which elevates confidence.

Research:
A Harvard 2012 study looked specifically at the Superhero Pose. Participants held an 'open' posture before preparing and delivering a speech; they also held a 'closed' posture before a speech. Those open, or power posed, delivered the goods. And those participants received higher marks after standing like a Super Hero.

Grounding Techniques

Take a moment to reset and re-centre yourself. This technique can be used at anytime of day and anywhere you feel comfortable and safe.

Ground yourself at the start of your day to allow all the good and positivity to flow to you throughout the day.

Ground yourself before you go to sleep while giving thanks to another day that was given to you. This is a great time to set your intentions for tomorrow.

If throughout your day, you happen to get off track, use this technique to get you back on the right path.

--> have a glass of water
--> go for a walk
--> have some fruit
--> have some chewing gum
--> give into your craving and eat a small amount
--> eat some protein

These suggestions will help balance your cravings and you will be guilt free - - > hitting those those fitness goals.
