Today is the day we say GOODBYE! Today is our final day as one of the primary Early Learning Centers in High River, filled with laughing, happy children and amazing staff. We have cleaned and organized, sent home all the belongings, missing socks and wayward hats that we could and shed a few tears over happy memories. Now it is time to say our farewell. We hope to be remembered as a childcare center that truly cared for our families and tried our best to be friendly, cooperative and to always do our best for our staff, the children and their families. We hope everyone has found wonderful childcare alternatives and will remember us fondly when you drive by.

A Parent Letter on Closing Day.

Hello.
I just want to take a minute to say a deep and sincere Thank You to everyone at High River Daycare.

I wanted to stop by with flowers and a card, but unfortunately I cannot do so. From the bottom of my heart I will forever be grateful for everyone at the High River Daycare who were there for my two boys. Not only have you wiped many years and kissed many boo boos, you have taught manners to my children, taught them how to walk and talk, use the potty, to write, draw, and to even love unconditionally. You taught them right from wrong and how to make friends. There are so many memories that my children will have from the daycare and I will always show them photos of their time there so they will remember. All the wonderful ladies there,young and old have been so amazing with my two boys. You have been mothers to my boys when they needed me and I wasn't there.

If I could rewind time I would make it so those red doors never close.

Thank you to High River Daycare for all the love and support they give to me and not only my boys, but everyone else's beautiful children. Once you walked in those doors you felt at peace and you felt like family. Whether it was Stacey's kind smile or Ms Lizelle's sweet laugh and smile.

So thank you from the bottom of my heart to High River Daycare. I will miss that beautiful place and the kind smiles. It will be hard to drive by there everyday

Today a parent wrote this about us on their Facebook and it melted us 'The Little Daycare That Loved Us First'. We are humbled in your appreciation.

This is our final Monday together, as we wrap up here in preparation for our permanent closure on Friday, June 28. As you will notice the signs are coming down as well as anything that identifies a child or a staff. The bulletin boards are beginning to look a bit bare and some of the walls are empty of all the wonderful pictures of all the little ones we have loved through the years. We are simply resting in all the wonderful memories and spending the rest of the week being grateful for the past twelve years together.

We want to thank Julia and her staff for their kind messages and support. They have been in touch with me through this process and we are working on getting parents into their program if they can manage and also assisting our staff in finding jobs. Julia and I have been in this industry together since I started my dayhome 17 years ago and it meant alot to have her stop by this morning and show her support for us.
