Yesterday, we hosted a Virtual Collar Fencing Day near Cochrane! ๐Ÿฎ

We had a great turnout and some great discussions about Halter and Gallagher virtual fencing collars, including how these systems can be used for grazing management.

A big thank you to Anne McNabb for hosting us, and to Tim Wray and Angela Kumlin for sharing their experiences using virtual collars. And of course, thank you to everyone who came out and participated in the day! ๐Ÿ‘

It was a great opportunity to learn, ask questions, and share ideas about the future of virtual fencing. ๐ŸŒฑ

Yesterday, we hosted our Pasture Power Up Tour near Patricia, AB! ๐ŸŒฑ

The day featured presentations from Newell County on the project, Corteva and Envu on pasture management products, and a discussion on grazing strategies for brush control, highlighting the effectiveness of intensive sheep grazing.

In the afternoon, we toured two pastures to see the results firsthand, ask questions, and enjoy some great discussion among attendees.

On Monday, July 27, we hosted Joel Williams near Dalum for a great day of learning about converting marginal land to forages.

We explored how to turn low-productivity, alkaline grain acres into profitable and resilient forage systems, with practical insights on improving land productivity and long-term sustainability.

โ˜€๏ธ Last week, FFGA attended the Southern Alberta Grazing School for Women in Cassils, AB. Over two days, a fantastic group of women came together to learn about grazing principles, range health, riparian health, species at risk, soil erosion, and cattle marketing.
