Congratulations to Engineering Physics professor Dr. Leyla Soleymani on being named Lead of Engineering Innovation at NexusHealth.
An expert in miniaturized biosensors, Dr. Soleymani’s research bridges engineering and health care, advancing technologies that can improve patient outcomes and bring cutting-edge diagnostics closer to everyday use. From wearable health-monitoring devices to next-generation medical diagnostics, her work demonstrates how engineering can create meaningful impact far beyond the lab.
“My research group has a long track record of partnering with industry, translating discoveries into practical technologies, and launching startup companies,” says Soleymani. “I’m excited to share these experiences with other McMaster innovators and to foster new connections between Health Sciences and Engineering.”
As Lead, Engineering Innovation, Dr. Soleymani will help strengthen collaborations across disciplines, accelerating the development of technologies and health products that improve patient care.
