Today we celebrate the incredibly important Personal Support Worker Day, aimed at celebrating the compassion, dedication, and vital assistance PSWs provide to seniors, children, and people with disabilities, enabling them to live with dignity.

When you're a PSW, you know that every day you will touch a life, or a life will touch yours. PSWs are incredibly vital to the success of the healthcare team and are known for being our frontline, making countless sacrifices and investing their hearts to better the lives of others.

At Central Health Institute we are most especially proud of our own Personal Support Worker students and graduates, having over 26-years of watching our inspirational PSWs contribute positively within our healthcare communities, and we look forward to the next 26-years as well.

Did you know that Central Health Institute is accepting applications for Clinical Supervisor Staff, to support our upcoming clinical placements?

If you have afternoon shift availability and are currently an RN or RPN (with CNO Registration and no practice restrictions) with 2-years of directly related experience OR a PSW (with a college certificate and a NACC certificate from a PSW program, post 2015) with a minimum of 3-years of directly related experience, please feel encouraged to send your resume to [email protected] for further review and assessment!

Please note that applicants who do not possess the above listed credentials and experience can not be considered for these roles.

It's International Nurses Day and today we want to thank all of our amazing Nurses who contribute to our community in so many ways that words could simply not express properly. In 2026, the theme of our International Nurses Day is "Our Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Lives", with focus on the need for safe environments, fair pay, and leadership roles for nurses to improve health systems.

Happy May the 4th! While today is often known as "Star Wars Day", at Central Health Institute we are recognizing that our next Personal Support Worker Day Class will be starting in just 1-week!

While this class is full for registration, we are also now opening the registration for our subsequent Personal Support Worker Day Class, starting July 13th, 2026.

These accelerated Personal Support Worker Programs allow students to finish their Theory and Clinical requirements in just 23-weeks, in personalized classes taught by our passionate, qualified, and inspirational teachers.
