Elaine Victoria Panting Obituary
In Loving Memory of Elaine Panting
August 28, 1941 – May 14, 2025
With heavy hearts and deep love, we share the passing of Elaine Panting, a loving wife, sister to Shirley, and Ken (Betty), aunt to Andrea, Nicole and Jeremy, and devoted mother, grandmother to Abby, Graham, Cameron, Cooper, Emerson, and Braeden, and great- grandmother to Holland, treasured friend, and inspiring teacher, who left this world peacefully on May 14,2025, at the age of 83.
Elaine was the proud and loving mother of three daughters Lori (Rob), Cheryl (John), and Michelle (Joel), whom she raised with love, strength, warmth, and grace. Her husband John cherished their 60 loving years together and he will hold her close forever. As a dedicated teacher, she touched countless lives with her wisdom, patience, and encouragement—always guiding others to see the best in themselves.
She found immense joy in cooking and entertaining, and her home was a place filled with laughter, shared meals, and meaningful conversations. Elaine loved bringing people together and made everyone feel welcome and valued.
Her enduring strength and ability to find the positive in every situation defined her spirit. Even in challenging times, Elaine radiated hope and kindness, leaving an impression on all who knew her.
Over the last few years an exceptional group of health care professionals supported Elaine. She spent her last four weeks at Margaret’s Place Hospice in Dundas, surrounded by care and compassion. Her family is deeply grateful for the love and support she received during that time.
We will be holding a celebration of Elaine’s life on Saturday, June 21 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. at Circle of Life Cremation and Burial Centre, 100 King Street East, Dundas. (additional parking at the Air Force Club). We welcome you to join us in sharing our wonderful memories.
Kindly consider donating to Margaret’s Place Hospice in Dundas (in lieu of flowers) in honor of Elaine, for the exceptional care she received.

Hamilton
[192-?]
Prince of Wales School is located at 40 Lottridge Street at the northeast corner of Lottridge and Cannon Streets, to the west of Ivor Wynne Stadium.
The school opened in 1922.
Originally intended to be called Lottridge Street School the year prior the school board had written to the Prince of Wales for his permission to use his name on the building.
He later became Prince Edward VIII who abdicated the throne and the new school was opened as Prince of Wales School.
This building was demolished in 2007 and a new Prince of Wales School was built on the same site which opened in March 2009.

It’s with a heavy heart to let you all know that one of our own has sadly passed away.
Mike Molnar
03-May-1982 - 05-Jul-2022
With broken hearts we announce the passing of Mike Molnar on July 5th, 2022. Mike is survived by his Daughter Paityn and many friends and family.
Mike’s life was as diverse as his friends and family. He had the ability to be a chameleon and fit in anywhere. He had a huge social circle and knew people from all walks of life. He will be missed by many. We all share our own unique memory of him. His ability to walk into a room and be the centric person always amazed us. His personality was larger than life. His range of life experience shaped him into a person who could connect with anyone. With that he had challenges, but those were always outshined by his huge heart (and ears).
This sudden loss shook us all and we are all trying to find peace within ourselves for him. Given the diverse and incredibly large number of people that were touched by Mike’s life, there was no way to achieve a single ceremony to give Mike the send off he deserves.
With that, we ask that everyone find their own way to celebrate his life.
His immediate family will hold a private ceremony with the daughter he loved so dearly. This is an overwhelming time for all of us. May you love and cherish his memory as each of us will.
Cremation has taken place. For those of you that want to pay your final respects, a memorial visitation will be held at the LG Wallace Funeral Home (151 Ottawa St N, Hamilton, ON L8H 3Z2 - 905-544-1147) on Monday July 18th from 10 am until 12 noon and again from 7:00 - 9:00 pm.
We ask that you all help remember Mike and share memories, stories or pictures. It’s crucial that we show Mike for the wonderful person he is, and to be able to tell these stories and share these moments with his daughter. He loved her more than anything in this world.
There will be a book to sign that will go to her. She was his shining star, his biggest accomplishment and the thing he bragged about every chance he had. Proud dad doesn't even describe how much he adored her.
