Hey Chem Eng!!
Get excited - it's time to kick some undergrad butt in a classic game of DODGEBALL!!! On Thursday, November 19th, CHEGGS will be hosting a friendly game of dodgeball at 9pm in the East Aux gym (IWC). We know it's a little late, but we could always get a group together to go to The Phoenix after - hopefully to celebrate a win! Let us know whether your can make it by RSVPing http://doodle.com/poll/ku6e9nsmwt577cb4 Please bring $2 to play. Running shoes are also recommended.
See yay there!!

Message from Scott:
It's the start of school, and as far as I'm concerned that means one thing - Intramural Sports!!! For those of you who don't know, intramurals are, other than research (of course!!), probably the most fun thing to do in grad school! Your Chem Eng Grad Student Society is running Soccer, Innertube Waterpolo, Ultimate frisbee, and Softball teams this semester! All of them are in the fun division, so they're mostly to have a good time and hang out with people in the department. They're just all-around fun times!!
To make everything super-easy, every league will cost $20, and any profits made from intramurals (which won't be a huge amount, if any) will go towards subsidizing some of the other events that the ChEGSS runs - which are also all a good time!! The dates that they are on are, as of now, unknown, but the potential dates can be seen here:
http://marauders.ca/documents/2011/9/1/Intramural_Calendar.pdf.
If you are interested in playing let me know at [email protected], also telling me which sport you are interested in. I'll let you know how to sign up and keep you up to date with game times and league information!
Your current, and potentially future, ChEGSS Sports Rep,
Scott Campbell

Good morning grad students!
Scientists have figured out the optimal time to drink coffee! (http://tinyurl.com/q5j2cbp)
The most effective time is between 9:30 and 11:30 am!
What else is at that time?
$1 coffees/cappucinos/espressos/lattes/hot chocolate at The Phoenix at McMaster and 50 cent cookies.
Drink up :)
The Scientifically Best Time to Drink Coffee
Ever wonder what the best time is to drink your coffee? You probably know it is not a good idea to drink part of your daily dose of caffeine in the afternoon. Especially for those who have problems sleeping. But, do you ever drink your coffee and feel like it just didn’t work?

Looking for somewhere on campus to get your morning java fix?! We've got some great news...
The Phoenix is now offering a 12 oz. cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate for just $1 from 8am to 11am, Monday to Friday. If you're looking for something to snack on you can add one of our delicious cookies for 50 cents. This awesome deal is take out only. We do have paper cups available but in an effort to be a friend to our environment please feel free to bring your own 12 oz. travel mug.
