Students worked together to create a GOOS (Good On One Side) bin for our classroom. This initiative encourages the reuse of paper that still has a blank side, helping us reduce waste and make more environmentally responsible choices.
Through this project, students are building awareness of sustainability and learning how small actions can contribute to a healthier planet. We are proud of their creativity, teamwork, and commitment to making a difference!

Shabbat Shalom from Kehila Heschel π±β¨
Our upper grades created these joyful grass heads using soil and seeds as part of our eco-school learning. A beautiful reminder of growth, care for the earth, and the patience it takes to nurture something living β values we carry into Shabbat each week.
Wishing our community a restful, meaningful Shabbat.

Snow days at Kehila Heschel mean bundling up and heading outside. βοΈπΏ
With 25 acres of parkland right behind our school, students spent the day exploring, playing, and learning in nature β sledding, wandering, and soaking in the joy of being outdoors. As an eco-school, we believe the natural world is one of our greatest classrooms.
Fresh air, wide open space, and joyful learning β even in the snow.

Little promises. Big hearts. π
Our students reflected on kindness, friendship, courage, and care for others β then turned their intentions into personal promises. From helping friends to making the world a better place, these words remind us that values are learned through action.
This is what learning looks like at Kehila Heschel: nurturing compassionate humans, one promise at a time.

𧑠National Sweater Day at Kehila Heschel π§‘
Our students learned that something as simple as wearing a sweater can help care for our planet. ππ
Through art and conversation, they explored how small choices can make a big difference.
As an eco-school, getting kids thinking early about responsibility, community, and the world around them is part of our everyday learning.
