Mohawk College Learning Support Centre

The Learning Support Centre services begin over the next two weeks and we are so excited to help you achieve your academic goals!

Math Drop-In requires no appointment, and is starting early this semester to better serve you! Come by the LSC (C122 at the Fennell campus or the Library at Stoney Creek) to meet with a math tutor on the spot 📚

Our other services - Peer Tutoring, PASS, Study Skills, and Communication tutoring begin September 9. Staff are here every day in C122 to answer any questions you may have about tutoring, creating an account, or setting good study habits.

Our tutors Santhir, Megan and Adam are here to help you with your communication courses, reading and comprehension skills, and grammar and essay support!

These writing and communication tutors are also a great resource for ESL students to practice both formal and casual conversational speaking and listening skills.

Appointments are available both in-person and online, and you can access up to 5 hours a week of writing and communications support!

Study Skills Tutoring is available to you through the Learning Support Centre!

Book with one of our friendly tutors to improve your academic and study skills that can help you succeed in all of your courses. Learn effective note taking and test preparation skills, and get tips on how to manage your time as a busy student.

We are still open next week!

The spring break is a great time to catch up on course content, take some extra time to solidify your knowledge, and prepare for heading back to classes after midterms.

We have both in-person tutoring plus online appointments and sessions available!

Knowing who you can go to for help with your resume & cover letter can be hard, so the Learning Support Centre wanted to provide some information that may be helpful!

Student and Graduate Employment can help you with career preparation workshops, interviewing skills, creating or updating your resume and cover letter, and building your LinkedIn. They are a great resource for all current students and alumni, whether you are looking for your first job or looking to refresh an old resume.

The Learning Support Centre has Writing and Communication tutors available. These tutors can not create a resume for you, but can help you with items like grammar and sentence structure on a resume or cover letter you already have. These tutors can also help you practice your spoken communication skills.
