I was so excited to kick off our first Mental Performance Training session with our dancers! 💜

This program is important to me because it’s about helping dancers strengthen the skills that go beyond technique...confidence, focus, mindset, goal setting, handling pressure, and learning how to respond when things don’t go exactly as planned.

Strong dancers are built through training.
Strong performers are built through mindset too.

We’re excited to continue this journey with them throughout the season. ✨

💚 More GREEN for Charlie! 💚

Our dancers and staff continue to fill the studio with green this week as we show our love and support during Wear Green for Charlie Week.

We are so grateful to see our NJADS community come together for something that means so much. Every green shirt, bow, outfit and little touch of green is a reminder that Charlie and his family are surrounded by a whole lot of love.

💚 WEAR GREEN FOR CHARLIE | SEPTEMBER 24–30 💚

Starting tomorrow, we’re inviting our NJADS Family to Wear Green for Charlie as we honour the memory of Charlie Leitis and raise awareness for Mitochondrial Disease.

In Charlie’s memory, we created Charlie’s Untapped Potential Scholarship, giving a dancer the opportunity to receive a year of dance tuition and discover some of the opportunities Charlie never had the chance to experience.

Dancers are encouraged to add GREEN to their regular dancewear — shirts, shorts, socks, bows, tutus, hair accessories…anything green! And because every child facing a difficult battle deserves to feel like a superhero, superhero capes are welcome too!

We can’t wait to see our studios filled with green as we celebrate Charlie’s memory and the untapped potential within every child.

Not sure if your 3–4 year old is ready for dance class yet? 💜

Some dancers run into class and join right away. Others need a few weeks — or even a few months — to feel comfortable, build confidence, and participate independently.

Both are completely normal.

Our Pre-Level Dance Classes for ages 3–4 are designed to help little dancers build confidence, coordination, independence, and a love of movement in a fun, supportive environment.

Parents can explore:
* signs their dancer may be ready for Pre-Level
* what progress can look like at this age
* the difference between Tiny Tumblers, Tutu Cute, Shining Stars & Bounce & Bop
* what to do if their dancer is not quite ready to participate independently yet
* current class days and times

💜 Then & Now… how quickly they grow up! 💜

There’s something so special about watching our dancers grow, not just in age, but in confidence, independence, friendships, and love for dance.

As we head into the end of our first week of our new dance season, moments like this are such a beautiful reminder that every class, every recital, every little milestone becomes part of their story.

From tiny first steps in the studio to becoming the dancer they are today… it really does go by so fast.

Here’s to another season of growth, memories, and so many “look how far you’ve come” moments. 💜
