We ran, we built, we ran some more! This week campers wanted to savour being on the cusp of the end of summer, with lots of creative play and self-guided crafts and experiments. They picked fast action activities for warm ups, creative drills for skill sets, and asked for fitness for session ends. What more could we ask for?

Next week…back to our “big kids” and intensive camp!

Week 7 really cemented to us how much a balance of structure and flexibility creates healthy and happy community! We had lots of returning campers this week who just knew the expectations and rocked at sweeping new campers into the flow, making it such a successful week for everyone!

We aim to be consistent in our schedule structure so campers know what to expect, but mix up each activity within the framework so there’s always new learning and engagement both for campers and staff! We love watching every activity have 100% engagement in 100 different ways.

That’s 7 weeks behind us….what will the next 3 bring?

What an honour it is to have so many campers spend their first week off school, with us! The change in routine, plus the heat, can be difficult to navigate for little (and big!) bodies and brains, but our campers trusted us and jumped on board for so many amazing activities this week!

We’re sad to see this group go, but can’t wait to see what week 2 brings!
