πHamilton Connector Program Has Arrived
Hamilton is Connecting Talent with Opportunity!
We are proud to announce the launch of the National Connector Program in Hamilton, led by the Immigrants Working Centre (IWC) β the first organization in Hamilton to bring this national initiative to our community.
The Connector Program helps newcomers build meaningful professional networks by connecting them with established professionals, employers, business leaders, and community leaders in their field of interest.
How does it work?
A Connector meets with a newcomer (Connectee) to share their knowledge, experience, and connections. The Connector then introduces the Connectee to at least three people in their professional network who may be able to provide further guidance, connections, or opportunities.
Through these conversations, newcomers can:
βοΈ Build professional networks
βοΈ Learn more about Hamilton's labour market
βοΈ Gain industry insights and career guidance
βοΈ Discover employment and professional opportunities
βοΈ Develop meaningful connections within their community
π£ Hamilton Professionals β We Need You!
Are you an established professional, business leader, employer, entrepreneur, or community leader in Hamilton?
Become a Connector and help open doors for talented newcomers in our community.
Your network could be the connection that makes a difference in someone's career journey.
The Hamilton Connector Program is part of the National Connector Program, a Canada-wide initiative helping newcomers build professional networks and strengthen their connection to their communities.
π© Interested in becoming a Connector or learning more about the program?
Contact the Immigrants Working Centre to get involved.
Together, we can connect talent, build networks, and strengthen Hamilton's workforce.

We are deeply grateful to the members of the Zonta Club Hamilton 1 for their generous support of IWC.
It was a pleasure to welcome Dianne Moore, Incoming President, and Sandra Cronk, Vice President, to our location as they presented a cheque on behalf of the Club.
This meaningful contribution will help us continue delivering programs and support services that promote the well-being and economic resilience of women, members of vulnerable communities.
Partnerships like this make a real difference in the lives of those we serve, and we sincerely thank Zonta Club of Hamilton 1 for their commitment to building stronger, more inclusive Hamilton community.

π Celebrating Community Spirit! π
The Welcoming Essentials initiative, launched in March by two McMaster students, successfully completed its first round of donations! On April 7th, Zohal Kamal and Alexandra Giudice visited IWCβs offices at 8 Main St. East to deliver the generous items collected.
We at IWC extend our heartfelt thanks to Zohal and Alexandra for their vision and dedication, and to the entire McMaster community who contributed. Thanks to your generosity, many newcomer families will now have access to essential personal care items.
π‘ Inspired to help? Stay tuned for future donation days and find out how you can make a difference in the lives of newcomer families.
