Farmers' Dell Cooperative Preschool Welcome to the Farmers' Dell Preschool page. This page will be used to update the community on Farmer's Dell events, ask questions and share stories!

Classes commence 1st week after Labour Day and continue until 3rd week of June. Each child is a unique person. A child needs play, as play is an important avenue for learning and enjoyment. A child needs to feel free to express attitudes and feelings, as they are important to learning and healthy personality growth. Our school provides children with a stimulating, safe, healthy and fun environment. By interacting in this environment, the child will gain self-esteem and confidence, as well as self-control, with the help of teacher guidance. The child will also grow in all areas of development (physical, intellectual, language, emotional and social). Our goal is that your child will:

Grow in independence
Learn to give and share, as well as receive affection
Learn to get along with others
Learn to develop self control
Learn many large and small motor skills
Learn how to use words
Begin to understand his/her body
Begin to understand and control his/her physical world
Begin to develop awareness of his/her relationship to the world

Farmers' Dell is hiring a part time staff member to assist in class on Tuesdays and Thursdays from approximately 9:30am to 1:30pm (hours may fluctuate). We are looking for someone who can help with cleaning and prepping snacks and lunches while staff remain in programming with the children.
Must have First Aid & CPR Level C, Vulnerable Sector check (withing 6 months of start date), up to date immunizations and willing to complete Food Handlers Certificate upon being hired.

Hi everyone! Farmers' Dell has some great news. We have amended our hours for the September 2022 school year to the extended program Monday through Thursday. Our new hours of operation will be Monday through Thursday 930am to 2pm for ages 30 months plus (includes snack, lunch and outdoor time). Fridays are for toddlers 18 to 30 months from 930am to 1230pm. Send us a message for more info or head to our NEW and IMPROVED website.
