🎭✨ WHAT’S INSIDE THE AiDa PROP BOX? ✨🎭
A pair of fabulous glasses. A dramatic cape. A feather boa. And suddenly… a whole new character comes to life! ❤️
At AiDa, play has a purpose.
Every costume, character, improv game and imaginative adventure gives our students another opportunity to create, communicate, take chances and build confidence—all while having FUN.
Because sometimes discovering your voice begins with something as simple as reaching into the prop box and asking…
✨ Happiness begins when you stop looking for permission to be yourself. ✨
There is something incredibly freeing about reaching a place where you no longer measure your worth through someone else’s approval.
Not everyone will understand your choices, your journey, your boundaries—or the person you are becoming.
And that’s okay. 💛
True confidence grows when you learn to trust yourself, honour what brings you joy, and recognize that your worth was never dependent on applause from anyone else.
Choose authenticity over approval.
Choose peace over people-pleasing.
Choose YOU. 💫
Because the relationship you have with yourself influences every other relationship in your life.

❤️ IN LOVING MEMORY OF MY DEAR FRIEND, DIANE ❤️
Two years ago today, we lost an extraordinary woman—and I lost a very dear friend.
Diane was a force. A trailblazer. A fierce advocate. A compassionate heart. She spent her life lifting others, championing women, supporting her community and reminding people that kindness truly matters.
But today, I’m remembering my friend. ❤️
Diane believed in me at a time when I needed someone to remind me to believe in myself. She saw something in my talent and artistry, encouraged me to dream bigger and helped give me the courage to take the leap and create AiDa.
I will carry that gift from her forever.
And then there were Diane’s balloons. 🎈
Diane loved sending little messages of kindness, hope and remembrance out into the world attached to balloons—almost like “messages in a bottle.” She was thrilled when people from different places found them and wrote back to tell her what those unexpected words had meant to them.
In 2019, Diane brought that passion to our AiDa Summer Camp, sharing with our students the beautiful idea that one simple message can connect us to someone we may never meet.
Today, knowing what we do about the environmental impact, we would never release balloons into the sky—but Diane’s message behind them is something worth continuing:
Send kindness into the world.
Send compassion.
Send empathy.
Send hope.
Send love. ❤️
So today, instead of sending a balloon into the sky, I’m sending this message out into the world for Diane.
Thank you for the lives you touched, the people you championed, the dreams you encouraged and the love you left behind.
I miss you, my dear friend.
You believed in me.
You inspired me.
You challenged me to dream bigger.
And I will never forget you. ❤️
As Diane always said, “Angels watching over you.”
Today, I have no doubt that one very special angel is doing exactly that. ✨
Your messages are still travelling, Diane.
Your kindness is still reaching people.
And your light is still shining. ❤️
August 17 ❤️✨

Since 2015, we’ve been helping people of all ages find their voices and discover what they’re capable of.
There’s something about sunflowers that simply makes me happy. They’re bright, hopeful and resilient — always turning toward the light.
Helen Mirren once beautifully described the sunflower as a lesson in life:
“Wherever light is, no matter how weak, these flowers will find it. And that’s such an admirable thing. And such a lesson in life.”
I love that. 💛
Sunflowers also held a special meaning for Vincent van Gogh. To him, they represented gratitude — which makes them feel even more meaningful.
Perhaps that’s their little reminder to us:
🌻 Look for the light.
🌻 Notice the beauty around you.
🌻 Be grateful for the little things.
🌻 And whenever you can, be the light for someone else.
Today, I’m feeling especially grateful for kindness, friendship, nature, summer days and the people who add a little sunshine to our lives.
Because sometimes the little things really do mean the most. 💛🌻

🎭✨ HOMETOWN PRIDE. GRATITUDE. INSPIRATION. ✨🎭
As Ragtime takes its final Broadway bow today, we’re sending a huge THANK YOU to Hamilton and Westdale’s very own Tony Award-winning Broadway star, Caissie Levy! ❤️
Caissie, your extraordinary talent and journey continue to remind the next generation of artists and dreamers that big dreams can begin right here at home. 🌟
This week, one of our wonderful AiDa Mentor Leaders, Simone, and her family had the opportunity to see Caissie shine in Ragtime on Broadway — and they carried a little piece of Westdale and AiDa with them. 💙
Our students signed a special AiDa T-shirt filled with messages of love, encouragement and gratitude for Caissie, and Simone and her family made sure it found its way to her after the performance.
And hearing that Caissie received it and was SO excited absolutely made our hearts burst! ❤️🎭
There is something incredibly powerful about young artists seeing someone from their own community dream boldly, work passionately and reach the Broadway stage.
Caissie — thank you for inspiring our students to imagine what is possible.
From Westdale to Broadway… and perhaps someday, from one of these young dreamers to a stage somewhere in the world. ✨
Congratulations to Caissie and the entire Ragtime company on an extraordinary Broadway run and final performance today.
❤️ Your talent inspires.
💙 Your journey matters.
🌟 And Hamilton is SO proud to call you one of our own.
It’s where children learn to express themselves, take creative risks, work together, find their voice and build confidence—all while having an incredible amount of FUN! 💙
🍂 FALL REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!
Whether stepping into a character, thinking on their feet through improv or discovering the courage to speak in front of others, our students are building skills that reach far beyond the stage.
