Had a full weekend of iaido in Etobicoke this weekend with clinics, grading and socializing. 6 of my students challenged for advancement in rank and were successful. Father and daughter, Steve Nagy and Balla both received their Ikyu as well as Brent North of Grand Prairie Alberta. Going to shodan (1st degree) is Elliott Knowns From Edmonton and Clint McCrea from Grand Prairie. Going to nidan(2nd degree) is Lonita Fraser from Hamilton Canadian Japanese cultural center. Congrats where all the hard work paid off. Thanks for all who came to support.

Iaidokas;

I am pleased to announce that Iaido will restart at the Hamilton Canadian Japanese Culture Centre Wednesday, October 7th.

Beginners - 5:30 - 6:45 pm
Advance - 5:30 - 7:30 pm

It is best if you are already dressed before you arrive. If not, have shorts (and t-shirt for women) and quick change in dojo. Only use bathrooms if totally necessary.

A mask must be worn upon entering the building but removed during practice if you wish. We have swords therefore we can maintain a good distance apart.

The dojo floor will be sanitized before and after we leave.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Any further questions, please don’t hesitate to email me.

Thank you and looking forward to practicing with you all.

Sensei Mattie
