While it’s officially back to school season, we’re still reminiscing about some very happy summer memories! 🍎☀️
At the end of August, we had an amazing visit at Les Petites Pommes from Labo des carrières (Career Labs Ontario) for a special career discussion ALL IN FRENCH!
We welcomed two wonderful guest speakers, Chance Faida, Program Manager at Wellwood Hamilton, a community organization offering free programs and support for anyone affected by a cancer diagnosis, and Kevin Pugo, Student Recruitment and Liaison Officer at Collège Boréal.
Our Senior campers and high school volunteers joined the conversation, and we covered so much! We talked about our guests’ career paths, how they use French in their work, our students’ own dreams and goals for the future, and even the impact of AI and what our students think about it.
And yes, they shared all those ideas and opinions EN FRANÇAIS! 🙌
Ontario Career Lab
It was such a cool opportunity to create space for this kind of meaningful conversation outside of our regular camp programming and to show our students that French isn’t just something you learn in a classroom. It can be part of your education, your career, your community, and your future. 🍎
A huge MERCI to Labo des carrières for the amazing visit, and especially for facilitating such an engaging conversation entirely in French!
