Summer is meant to be spent outside… and that’s exactly what we do at Big Brain Adventurers.

Our days are filled with hiking, forest exploration, creative activities, water play, imaginative games, and plenty of opportunities for children to build confidence, friendships, and lasting memories. We believe children learn best when they’re free to play, explore, and follow their curiosity.

If you’re looking for a summer camp that values outdoor play, creativity, and meaningful childhood experiences, we’d love to welcome your family.

There’s something so special about giving kids a simple challenge like finding the perfect rock!

What starts as a nature walk quickly turns into an adventure filled with exploring trails, climbing over logs, spotting hidden treasures, and noticing all the little details in the forest. Then comes the calm part… transforming those favourite finds into colourful works of art with a little paint and a lot of imagination.

It’s one of my favourite combinations because it naturally balances movement with mindfulness. Kids get to be active, curious, creative, and focused all in the same activity. That’s what Big Brain Adventurers is all about: learning, growing, and making memories through outdoor play that feels like fun. 🩵

Our days balance child-led play with thoughtfully planned experiences that support social, emotional, and cognitive development, all while honouring each child’s individual pace.

If you’re looking for a camp where your child can move, explore, regulate, and truly be themselves, Big Brain Adventurers may be the perfect fit!

I’m so excited to share the May registration promo for Big Brain Adventurers as we head into an amazing 5th summer season!

I can’t wait to welcome both new and returning families for more outdoor adventures, play, exploration, physical activities, and unforgettable memories. This summer is shaping up to be such a special one, and I hope to see all of you there.

Our groups are intentionally kept small to create the best possible experience for each child, which means space is limited and spots are already filling up quickly.

I’ll personally be onsite and facilitating the program all summer, and I’m so looking forward to connecting with everyone and making this season the best one yet!

See you soon,
Jolena 🌞

Energy isn’t the problem - environment is. Give kids space, and they’ll find their balance.

03/30/2026

Hi everyone! 👋🏻

I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself to all of our new families and followers. Welcome to Big Brain Adventurers!

I’m Jolena, the Owner & Director, and what started as a small outdoor camp in 2022 has grown into something truly special within the Dundas community. Watching this camp evolve, expand, and impact so many incredible kids has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

With over 10 years of experience in early childhood education, I’ve worked with children ages 1–12 across a variety of settings, from licensed childcare centres to school classrooms. My background includes toddler, preschool, and school-age programs, as well as Kindergarten and Life Skills classrooms within the school board.

I hold a diploma in Early Childhood Education from Mohawk College and an Honours degree in Early Childhood Education from Brock University.

Big Brain Adventurers has grown into more than just a summer camp - it’s a space where kids build confidence, explore nature, and learn through hands-on, meaningful experiences. Every year, we continue to expand, improve, and create something even more impactful for the families we serve.

If you’re looking for a unique, outdoor camp experience for your child, I’d love to connect - check out the link in my bio for more information! 🌞
