Art Club: An Artist’s Exploration of Nature
FALL REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

From Monet’s water lilies and Van Gogh’s landscapes, to botanical illustration and Japanese woodblock prints, human beings have always tried to capture the beauty of the natural world through art.

This term we’ll be heading outside the studio (metaphorically) and exploring plants, animals, insects, landscapes, weather, patterns and all the weird and wonderful things found in nature! Each week we’ll look at a different artist or artistic style before creating our own work. Our artists will learn to observe the world around them, notice patterns and textures, experiment with colour, and translate the natural world into their own unique artwork! Through experimentation and hands-on projects, they’ll practice taking creative risks, adapting when things don’t go as planned and turning unexpected results into something new.

We’ll wrap things up with an end of term gallery show and showcase along with our Drama Club and Storybook Adventures participants, to celebrate their work and creative growth.

Program details:
Classes runs weekly, Tuesdays at 4:30pm.
Start Date: September 22nd
Program length: 12 weeks of classes plus a showcase at Hamilton Theatre Inc in week 13 (date and time TBD)

Drama Club: Preforming Fundamentals — FALL REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

This fall, we’re bringing our expanding Drama Club program to Hamilton Theatre Inc. with two age groups designed to meet young performers where they’re at:

✨ JUNIORS | AGES 6–8
A fun and supportive introduction to performing! Through theatre games, storytelling, improv, characterization, voice work and movement, students will build confidence while developing foundational acting skills like stage presence, collaboration, creating characters and thinking on their feet.

🎬 INTERS | AGES 9–12
For young performers ready to take their acting skills further. This group will dive deeper into scene study, script analysis, characterization, improv, storytelling and voice,learning how to break down a script, understand their character, make strong acting choices and work collaboratively with scene partners.

Both programs place the primary focus on acting and performance, with some dance and movement, and plenty of opportunities to build confidence, creativity and stage presence in an encouraging environment.

And at the end of the term, they’ll get to put it all into practice with a final showcase on stage!🎭
