🍂 Another busy week at Playschool! 🍂
We had a little bit of everything this week — learning, creating, playing, and of course, a little bit of mess! 😉

We took some time to recognize Orange Shirt Day and had some really lovely conversations about being kind, including others, and making sure everyone feels welcome and cared for. ❤️

Centre time was BUSY! Our friends got creative with crafts, explored, built, played and kept those little hands busy. And because fall is officially here, we decided to bring some of it into the classroom! 🍁
The kids had SO much fun playing in our “leaves” — and we’re pretty sure they’re now fully trained and ready to help with the leaf cleanup at home. 😂🍂 You’re welcome, parents!

And of course, Picture Day was a success! 📸 We saw so many sweet smiles and can’t wait to see all those adorable faces in print!

What preschool gets to learn, play AND skate with junior hockey players?!🏒❤️ 🥅
This year, Chestermere Community Playschool is so excited to partner with the Chestermere Mustangs Jr. Hockey Club!

As part of our skating program, our preschoolers will have the opportunity to get out on the ice during our monthly skating sessions — where they can skate, learn, play and spend time with players from our very own local junior hockey team! 🏒⛸️

It’s one more way our playschool experience extends beyond the classroom.

At Chestermere Community Playschool, our programs offer little learners the opportunity to explore, create, play and prepare for their next big adventure — kindergarten!🎒

And with the Alberta Affordability Grant, eligible families can enjoy reduced monthly fees. *The grant is automatically applied meaning this is the price you pay.
✨ 2 days/week — just $105/month after grant
✨ 3 days/week — just $150/month after grant
✨ 5 days/week — just $305/month after grant

We are SO incredibly grateful to be named a Top 3 finalist! 💛

For over 40 years, our playschool has been a part of the Chestermere community, and we truly couldn’t be more proud of the little piece of this community we get to call ours.

Every year, local families trust us with their most precious things — their children. 🥹 There is no greater honour than being trusted to be part of their little ones’ early years, watching them learn, grow, make friends, gain confidence, and create memories they’ll carry with them.

This recognition means so much because it reflects the incredible families, children, educators, volunteers, and community members who have supported our playschool for more than four decades.

Thank you, Chestermere, for trusting us, supporting us, and allowing us to be part of your families’ stories for over 40 years. ❤️

✨ Week 4 at Playschool! ✨
Another fun week in the books! We’ve been making the most of these beautiful days and got outside for some gym time while we still can. ☀️🍂
Centre time was full of fun as always, and it’s safe to say our friends LOVE building! Towers, blocks and lots of creative construction kept everyone busy. 🧱🏗️ We also spent some time getting crafty, making beautiful art and learning all about patterns. 🎨🔵🟡

We still have a few spots available in our afternoon classes! If you know a family who might be looking for a fun, welcoming preschool program, we’d love it if you shared our page or sent them our way. ❤️

Looking ahead to this week, a few reminders:
🧡 Monday & Tuesday: We’ll be wearing orange and spending some time learning about why we recognize Orange Shirt Day. In an age-appropriate way, we’ll talk about kindness, inclusion, caring for one another, and the importance of listening to and remembering the stories of Indigenous children and families.
🧡 Wednesday: No classes as we recognize National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

✨ Week 3 wrap-up! ✨

What a fun and busy week at Playschool! Our friends had lots of opportunities to build, create, explore, and get those little minds working. 🧩💭

We had fun with Lego, worked on puzzles, had fun with play-doh, built some pretty impressive towers, practiced our letters with polka dot letters, and got creative with self-portraits! 🎨🧱

So many exciting things happening and so much learning happening through play. We love watching everyone settle in, make new friends, and grow more comfortable each week. ❤️

Thanks for another great week, friends! We can’t wait to see everyone back this week for more fun! 🤩

Is your little one struggling a bit with drop-off? We’ve got you! 😉💕

The first few weeks of preschool can come with some BIG feelings—for little ones and their grown-ups! Separation takes practice, and every child finds their confidence in their own time.
Here are a few of our favourite tips to help make those goodbyes a little smoother and the transition into the classroom a little easier ❤️

Swipe through, give a few a try, and remember: those little tears don’t mean they aren’t ready. They mean they love you, and they’re learning that you’ll always come back. 🥰

✨ Week Two Recap! ✨
Another fun-filled week with all our friends! 💛 We had lots of fun building with blocks, created some beautiful o”fish”ally a preschooler artwork, explored all the different activities during centre time, and of course… everyone LOVED the bean bag rock during gym time!

It’s been so wonderful seeing everyone settle in, get comfortable, and make new friends. We’re already having so much fun together and can’t wait to see what the coming weeks bring!🌟
