Our Toddler room had so much fun exploring a slimy under-the-sea sensory experience using their different senses! They were so excited to discover hidden sea animals tucked underneath the slimy seaweed. 🐠🪸
Handling the seaweed introduced our friends to a unique combination of slimy, slippery, and cool textures. These sensory experiences help children process and categorize different physical sensations while also strengthening fine motor skills and encouraging the use of descriptive language.
The room was filled with giggles, excitement, and hilarious facial expressions as the children explored and reacted to the feel of the seaweed!

🧚✨ Magical Moments in Pre-K ✨🧚
After our morning outdoor play, the children discovered a mysterious letter left behind by a fairy! 🌿💌 The excitement and wonder on their faces was truly magical.
To continue our fairy adventure, we gathered together to read a story about fairies and began sharing ideas for creating a cozy little space just for our new fairy friend. 🏡🌸
This experience sparked so much imagination, storytelling, creativity, and collaboration as the children worked together to bring their ideas to life. We are so excited to continue this magical journey together! ✨

🌻 Sunflower Creations & Big Imaginations ✈️
Our Sr.Pre friends were focused and engaged as they created beautiful sunflower artwork using their fingertips, creativity, and imagination. Through this sensory art experience, they explored colour mixing, textures, and different ways to express themselves through painting. 🎨✨
Alongside their sunflower creations, the children also enjoyed free drawing time where their imaginations truly came to life. One friend even designed an airport! ✈️🌎
This experience encouraged creativity, sensory exploration, fine motor development, and confidence in sharing their own unique ideas and stories through art. 💛

Sr.Pre friends became little scientists as they explored plants and their different parts using magnifying glasses! They carefully investigated both real and artificial plants and were excited to figure out which ones were real. 🌿✨
During our exploration, the children shared that plants need water to grow and reminded each other that we must be gentle with living things. They also noticed many differences in the plants, including unique leaf shapes, sizes, and colours. 💚
This hands-on experience encouraged observation, curiosity, and meaningful conversations about caring for nature and the living world around us. 🌎

Our Jr.Pre children explored art in a unique way by using both real and artificial flowers as painting tools! Dipping, stamping, and brushing with the flowers allowed each child to create their own beautiful masterpiece.
Using colours of their choice, some friends shared they were making “rainbow flowers,” while others said their artwork looked like “the sun.”
This creative experience encouraged children to explore textures, colour mixing, imagination, and self-expression while discovering new ways to create art through nature-inspired materials🌸🌻🌼

Every bo**er, knee scrape, tear, and triumph tells a story of growing up. 🤍
Today we celebrate the educators who are there for it all — the messy moments, the milestones, and the magic in between.
In early childhood, care and learning are deeply connected. Through each comforting hug, curious question, and shared discovery, educators help children feel seen, capable, and valued.
Happy ECE Appreciation Day to those who nurture with patience, wonder, and heart.

Rainy day science fun filled our classroom as we explored how rain works through a hands-on experiment. Using fluffy “clouds” made of shaving cream and drops of coloured water, our friends watched closely as the clouds filled up and began to “rain” right before their eyes! Some children even shared that it looked like delicious ice cream.
Through a Reggio-inspired approach, children were invited to wonder, predict, observe, and share their theories about the world around them. Adding the gentle sound of falling rain created a rich sensory experience that deepened curiosity and engagement.
This exploration supported early science concepts, language development, sensory processing, and critical thinking—all through playful discovery. 🌈💧

Tiny explorers on a big adventure 🐞🌿
Our Toddler room friends set out on a ladybug search, using curiosity and wonder to guide their discoveries. Through a Reggio-inspired lens, nature became the classroom as children observed, questioned, and connected with the world around them.
Searching for ladybugs encouraged children to slow down, notice details, and build patience, focus, and observation skills. It also supported language development as they shared ideas, described what they found, and wondered together.
Every bug, leaf, and moment of discovery reminds us that learning lives everywhere. ✨🍃

A surprise visitor joined Jr. Pre !
During circle time, Ms. Nicole brought in a slug she had found on a head of celery while cleaning the veggies to show our friends! What began as an unexpected surprise quickly became a moment of observation, wonder, and thoughtful questions. Through a Reggio-inspired approach, the moment became an invitation for curiosity, conversation, and shared learning.
Some children were fascinated and eager to get a closer look, while others felt a little unsure—both meaningful responses as children learn to explore the world in their own ways.
Experiences like these support language development, critical thinking, emotional awareness, and respect for living things. Nature always brings the best lessons. 🌿🤎

Our infant room learners explored scooping, pouring, filling, and emptying soil through hands-on sensory play. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, this experience invited children to follow their curiosity, investigate materials, and learn through meaningful play.
As children scooped and transferred the dirt, they were strengthening fine motor muscles, developing hand-eye coordination, and building concentration through purposeful movement.
The simplest moments often hold the richest learning. 🤎🌿
