We are extremely grateful to have partnered with ASHRAE at MSU during the completion of this project and receive 2nd place in the HVAC Design Calculations category. Congratulations to all the other teams who participated!
The ASHRAE Design Competition offers an opportunity to learn the complete process of creating an energy-efficient design and layout of an HVAC system, while meeting the owner design requirements. The project combines self-directed learning and industry mentorship, and has resulted in a highly valuable and memorable experience when incorporating remote collaboration.
The 2021 Design Competition is now open: https://www.ashrae.org/communities/student-zone/competitions/2021-design-competition. Feel free to reach out if you are curious about participating or learning more about our experience!
