Head of Audio for Wicked on Broadway, Josh Maszle, explains how the orchestra is mic'd to preserve a natural, full acoustic sound. Instead of close-mic'ing instruments, the team uses carefully placed microphones that capture air, space, and blend. Maintaining a true orchestral feel. Josh and his team put an incredible amount of care into every detail, considering music stands, cables, and mic position.

This classic video of Dave Stevens demonstrating the Circle of Fifths is a shortened revamp of the longer form video we have at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqta40448Ik that's definitely worth checking out. It shows more of Dave's charm and humor, but we wanted to publish this truncated version to make this easy to share out to anyone you think might be interested in learning a little more about the simplicity of the Circle of Fifths, explained in a beautiful way only the legendary Dave Stevens could. This presentation took place at Harmony College (now Harmony University) in 1983.
