A big congratulations to AJ’s own Sarah Abouali who has been named Prairie Rose Public Schools’ nominee for the 2025 to 2026 Edwin Parr Teacher Award.

A former student of AJ School, Sarah is now teaching in the same classrooms where she once learned, building strong connections with students and bringing her passion for learning into every class.

She will represent PRPS at the Zone 6 award banquet on May 20 in Taber.

Honouring Our Past, Building Our Future: The Time for Renewal is Now

For the first time in almost 15 years, the Calgary Islamic School - Akram Jomaa Campus invites you to come together for a historic and highly anticipated fundraising dinner.

Our school has grown, and to ensure we can continue providing an excellent environment for our children, it is time for a major upgrade. This historic night is dedicated to raising funds for two massive projects that will transform our campus:

Building a Commercial Kitchen:
A state-of-the-art facility that will not only serve our students but act as an economic engine to make our school self-sustaining for generations to come.

Essential Campus Modernization:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Cleanliness is half of faith." A complete, top-to-bottom renovation of our washroom facilities, ensuring a clean, modern, and dignified environment for our students and staff.

📢 We need your help!

Our Annual Ramadan Food Drive 2026 is currently underway, but our donation boxes are looking a little empty. We have until March 5th to collect non-perishable food items to support the Muslim Food Bank and Community Services (MFBCS) and the Muslim Families Network Society (MFNS). Let's come together to embody the spirit of generosity this Ramadan and ensure families in our community have what they need!

Canned Vegetables, Fruits & Beans

Beans & Lentils

Cooking Oil, Salt, Flour & Sugar

Even a single item makes a real difference in the lives of many families during this blessed time. Let’s fill those boxes! 📦💚

In the spirit of Ramadan, our school will be hosting a Ramadan Toy Drive to support children in our community.

We will be collecting NEW, unwrapped toys to be distributed to children in need in celebration of Eid al-Fitr. Your generous donations will help bring joy and smiles to children and families during this meaningful time.

Toy Collection Dates: February 26 – March 5, 2026.
Drop-Off Location: Please send donations with your child to give to their classroom teacher.

We kindly ask that all donated toys be new and unwrapped to ensure they can be distributed safely and appropriately.
