Ok, we lied, Tuesday, Sept 8th will be our last outdoor social dance. We had so many people asking for another last week, so why not!

New to swing dancing? We’ll have a beginner Lindy Hop lesson at 6:30pm. No partner needed - we rotate throughout the lesson, so you’ll get a chance to dance with different people.

Stick around after the lesson for a DJ’d social dance from 7:30pm onwards!

Remember when we said last week was our last outdoor social of the summer? We changed our mind! We had such a blast at the last one and decided that we would host one last social, for real this time.

Join us at the Riley Park Stage for a drop-in beginner lesson to help you get started.

6:30PM - Drop in Lindy Hop lesson
7:30PM - DJ’d social dance

No partner or experience needed!
Come out alone or invite a friend or two and enjoy something new.

Pay what you can, $5 suggested donation. No one will be turned away if they can’t.

Be sure to wear comfortable shoes that wont fly off your feet like sandals/slides!

We are excited to have Drew and Shanley teaching our Foundations to Balboa series this Fall. Over the six weeks you will learn some pure-bal and bal-swing basics that allow you to feel comfortable on the dance floor.

Balboa is a style of swing that started on the west coast around the same time that Lindy Hop was being danced on the east coast. Balboa was danced in crowded ballrooms and is known for its close embrace, shuffle footwork, and the ability to dance it to a variety of tempos.

No partner needed! Prior dance experience is useful but not required.

Thursdays • 7:45- 8:45pm
Sept 17, 24, Oct 1, 8, 15, 22
$90 for the full 6-week series
$75 if also registering for Foundation to Lindy Hop

Been thinking about trying dance for a while? This is your chance!

Andrew & Sidney are teaching a Foundations to 6-Count Lindy Hop series perfect for:
• Brand new dancers
• Dancers who want to strengthen fundamentals
• Anyone wanting to learn the opposite role 💛

Lindy Hop is the grandfather to all swing dances! It emerged from the African American communities in Harlem, NY in the late 20’s and became widely popular. It is all about connection, improvisation, and play, and that’s exactly what we’ll explore.

You’ll learn classic moves, partner connection, and fun variations to help you feel confident and relaxed on the social floor ✨

No partner or prior experience needed!

We know it can be intimidating trying something new by yourself, so we are offering $20 off the series if you sign up with a friend.

Our Foundations to Lindy Hop series is made for beginners that want to learn to swing dance — no experience or partner needed. Classes run Thursdays from Sept 17 - Oct 22 at 6:30-7:30PM.

Normally $90/person, but when you register with a friend, you’ll each save $20 → just $70/person.

Join us on Saturday to practice your Lindy, Charleston, Balboa, S**g, or Solo Jazz with other dancers! We will have music playing for you to dance and explore movements with others. Note that this is not a class but moreso a space to collaborate and learn together through shared experiences!

Everyone is welcome to drop in and join no matter your level or if you take classes with us or not. Come meet other dancers and get inspired by one another!

These practices have a pay-what-you-can model, with a suggested donation of $5 to go towards the rental.

✨ Foundations to Balboa

Both classes are designed to be open level classes suitable for absolute beginners as well as dancers who want to go back to the basics and build stronger foundational skills, technique, rhythm, and connection.

Whether you’re brand new to swing dancing or looking to clean up your fundamentals, these classes are a great place to start. 💃🕺
