The children in our Dover Out of School Care program recreated the TCCS logo for their “THORNHILL’S GOT TALENT” show today, and it was just too good not to share! 💙🎨

💛 Community care in action! 💛
After learning that their local Community Cupboard had been vandalized and its food destroyed, the children at Cheyanne’s day home were curious about what had happened and how they could help.
Together, they decided to organize a food drive. All five day home families contributed, and the children eagerly delivered the donations themselves. They even had the opportunity to meet Ms. Jenn, who runs the Community Cupboard, and place the items inside.
On the way, one child declared, “I’m so excited I could explode!” Afterward, another proudly shared, “I feel good about myself!”
The children were so inspired by the experience that their caring and generosity continued into their dramatic play. What a beautiful example of children learning about empathy, community, and the difference they can make. We are so proud of Cheyanne, the children, and their families for coming together! 💕

Leadership in early learning and child care takes many forms. It can be found in directors, supervisors, pedagogical leaders, mentors, coaches, consultants, and educators who influence practice and support others' learning every day.
No matter the role, leadership is strengthened through reflection, dialogue, and opportunities to learn alongside others.
Leading Through a Pedagogical Lens (LTPL) creates space for these important conversations. Through collaborative learning and critical reflection, participants explore pedagogical leadership, engage with curriculum meaning-making, and consider how leadership can be shared and enacted across a learning community.
This fall, LTPL will once again be available for leaders across Alberta. If you are interested in participating, complete our Expression of Interest form at the link below.
https://events.arcqe.ca/ap/Events/Register/3BFWKQBIYCQCg
For those looking to continue their learning journey, the LTPL Network will also return this fall, offering a monthly community of practice where leaders can connect, reflect, and learn together. More information is coming soon.
