Things have been pretty busy but slowing down at the same time. I’ve been getting back into the studio more lately and want to make it more regular! I miss my time in here and I need it..especially lately.

Last month I completed this quilt for a raffle (it’s already over) to help raise money for our daughter’s grad class. I love how this turned out so much. And then it didn’t even end up that far away because my mom won it.

I finished up this pretty quilt about a week ago. I’ve love how it turned out. Simple and elegant custom quilting to bring it all together.

I’ve been quietly working away in the studio in between everyday life and the farm. The crops are in and now we let Mother Nature do her thing. I’ll be doing a photo dump soon of all the quilts I’ve done for my clients over the past few months.

It has been a minute!!! I did a few quilts over the summer but mostly we just enjoyed our summer. We didn’t seem to be home much for the month of July.

I just finished this beautiful Jane Austen quilt from one of my long time clients. She did a beautiful job piecing it and entrusted me to finish it off for her. We did a double layer of batting. The bottom layer is Hobbs 80/20 with a layer of wool on the top giving the quilt the poofy look. The quilting is simple and elegant and really adds the antique look to this quilt.

I think it’s safe to say I am BACK in the game from my surgery!

I had planned to announce it a couple of weeks ago but we jumped right into seeding. Now that we are wrapping up with that it’s time to get back into the studio!

Here’s a few I have done in the last few weeks to see how my wrist holds up. It’s doing really well. I’m sure there will be days when my arm is sore but I’m ready to get back to ‘adding drops of magic to your quilts!’ Please call or message me to get your quilts in the queue. Please share and let everyone know!

Super excited to have my ruler wall back and set up. Next up is to get the cutting table finished and then the design wall.

Hey Peeps! Yesterday I had carpal tunnel surgery on my right wrist. I miss the freezing. Ha!

Anyway, I will be out of commission for awhile. I’m hoping to slowly get back to work in a couple months. Please bear with me. I will update progress as I go. I already miss standing at the longarm but when I get back to it, I hope that I will be pain-free, and not experiencing numbness almost instantly as I start quilting. Until then it’s chillin, Netflix and painkillers.
