Good photography is more than just pressing a button β itβs about composition, lighting, depth of field, and storytelling. In our Photo Studio camp for teens , campers will explore all elements of digital photography including how to use Photoshop to process their final images.
*Campers must bring their own digital camera and transfer cable to use for the week

Get ready to bring a magical fairy world to life! ππ§
During the week, your child will let nature inspire them as they craft a 3D mixed media fairy from foraged materials. They will craft a fairy home, forest companion, and magical artifacts to build out their world. This fun hands-on camp for kids ages 9 β 12 will have them drawing, painting, collaging and sculpting a variety of fun projects that will be displayed at the end of the week at our weekly parent showcase!

Is your teen passionate about painting?
Painting Studio at AUArts is the perfect place to help them take their skills to the next level.
Led by experienced instructors, this week-long studio camp will improve their understanding of composition, colour theory and technique as they work on their own passion projects. Throughout the week campers will receive hands-on instruction and valuable critique sessions from both instructors and peers, allowing them to gain confidence and grow as an artist.

Spend five inspiring days exploring downtown Calgary as you learn to capture the cityβs energy, architecture, and everyday moments through observational drawing. Each day will be spent in a new location, offering fresh perspectives and the chance to hone your skills in the company of fellow creatives.

Is your teen interested in animation? π¬
In our Animation Studio Summer Camp, teens will design, storyboard, and produce their own short animation! Campers will experiment with techniques such as cutout, stop motion and pixelation through daily hands-on activities, then showcase their finished work at our Friday afternoon art exhibitions!
While this is not a digital animation course, participants will learn to use digital technologies to record and edit their animation in 2D or 3D.

Abstract Painting Week!
Take your abstract painting practice to the next level with five uninterrupted days in our studios! Working alongside other abstract artists, you will experiment and explore new techniques and styles using acrylic paint. Your instructor, Malcolm Mooney will lead you through both individual and group critiques designed to challenge and inspire your work.
