When clients become colleagues… and friends 🤍
Over the years, one of the most meaningful parts of my work has been the relationships that continue long after a program ends.
Asma and I have known each other for about five years now—she first joined through our Career Advancement & Negotiating Your Worth programs and has stayed connected through quarterly planning sessions, events, and even lifestyle hikes.✨🦋
And now, watching her take steps toward her MBA—something she’s dreamed about for a long time—while balancing family, work, and everything that comes with it, is incredibly special to witness.
This work has never just been about coaching.
It’s about building a network of thoughtful, driven, compassionate women who continue to grow, support each other, and evolve—together.
So grateful for women like Asma, and for the community that continues to grow beyond any one program ✨

Today’s Quarterly Planning reminded me of something important:
You can’t move forward until you’ve truly acknowledged where you’ve been.
We slowed down.
We reflected.
And the room shifted.
There were tears. There was honesty. There was real connection.
And from that place — clarity and action followed.
This is the work.
Not just planning… but integration. 💛
Excited for this next quarter and what we’re all stepping into.

Feeling like the year is already moving fast?
This is your opportunity to pause, reset, and move forward with intention.
Join us for the Q2 Quarterly Planning Experience on Saturday, April 11, 2026. (In person, or virtual)
Together, we’ll create space to reflect on what’s working, realign your priorities, and set a clear path for the next quarter—without the pressure of your usual weekday schedule.
We’ve moved this session to a Saturday to make it more spacious and supportive.
And if you’d like to keep the conversation going, you’re invited to join us for an optional group lunch afterward.
I’d love to have you there.

Monday I had the pleasure of speaking at Grenfell Campus, Memorial University, as part of their International Women’s Day activities.
The conversation brought together researchers and PhD leaders to explore questions around leadership visibility, advocacy, and how women navigate influence within complex environments.
One theme that continues to emerge in my work is how many highly capable women are still operating under pressure to prove their value — even when their work already speaks for itself.
This dynamic is particularly visible in post-secondary environments, where leadership influence often extends beyond research itself and requires navigating complex institutional systems.
The questions that followed reflected this complexity — including thoughtful discussion about the difference between role and vocation, and how women navigate longer-term career paths in institutional environments.
Over time, that dynamic shapes how leaders show up, how they communicate their impact, and how they position their work within their organizations.
What continues to interest me is the shift that happens when leaders move from proving their worth to more intentionally positioning their value.
It changes the conversation.
Thank you to Memorial University’s Grenfell Campus for the invitation, and to Dr. Chad W. Cuss — someone I’ve known since our early years growing up in Alliston — for continuing to champion leadership development for the women on his teams.

This year’s International Women’s Day theme, “Give to Gain,” highlights the power of reciprocity and support.
In many ways, the women’s leadership space has been moving in this direction for years, shifting from competition to collaboration and recognizing the value of lifting one another up.
When a leader trusts her voice and what she brings to the table, she shows up with greater confidence — more willing to contribute, take risks, advocate for herself, and support others in creating opportunities for even more women to thrive.
Giving creates possibilities for others and for ourselves.
Happy International Women’s Day.

Lately, I’ve been thinking about leadership visibility.
Not the performative kind — the internal kind.
The moment when a leader realizes she doesn’t want to compete for space… she wants to hold it.
There’s a difference.
Competing is reactive.
Holding is steady.
Many high-capacity women were trained to be excellent.
Fewer were taught how to be visible without over-performing.
That shift — from proving to presence — changes everything.
It’s something I’m seeing more and more in my work with women leaders.

A week ago, we gathered for Quarterly Planning, and I’m still thinking about the quality of the conversations in the room.
There was a lot of honesty, courage, and care as women reflected on what the last year asked of them, and what this next quarter is inviting.
We explored a simple framework I’m seeing come up again and again in women’s leadership:
Purpose. Protection. Play. Presence.
Not as things to “fix,” but as seasons to recognize.
A reminder I keep coming back to:
You don’t need to work on everything this quarter, you just need to listen to what’s asking for you.
If you were to choose one of those four to focus on right now, which would it be?
