We’re growing, and we’re excited to bring the Apollo Taekwon-Do experience closer to more families! Our new location will give children, teens, and adults another place to build confidence, improve fitness, develop discipline, and become part of the Apollo family.

Meet Mr. Sameem Hosseini!
Mr. Hosseini has been training taekwon-do for 15 years under the guidance of Master and Mrs. Arden. His years of training have led him to 8 National titles, and numerous Western Canadian and Alberta Provincial championships. Taekwon-Do has took him across the globe, allowing Mr. Hosseini to compete in Slovenia, Finland, Argentina and Croatia, medalling at 3 of 4 world level tournaments. Additionally, Mr. Hosseini has travelled to England competing and training, and he is always on the look to expand his skills across Canada and internationally. His passion for the sport continues to grow as he substitutes to teach for any other instructor. Mr. Hosseini will be our very own head instructor at Apollos second location which will be revealed soon!

Meet Ms. Sahar Hosseini!
Ms. Hosseini is a 3rd degree black belt and assistant instructor for the colour belt classes at Apollo Taekwon-Do. She has been training Taekwon-Do for fifteen years under the guidance of Master and Mrs. Arden.
Ms. Hosseini has been a proud member of the Canadian national team representing Canada twice in international competitions. Additionally, she has medaled at the national, western and provincial level. She also has her umpire class B certification, regularly officiating at CTFI competitions.

Meet Ms. Paige Fenton!
Ms. Fenton is a 3rd degree black belt, and Instructor for Apollo Taekwon-Do’s Kick Starts and Beginner classes. When she’s not teaching or training, you’ll find her flexing her creative muscle promoting the Dojang.

She started Taekwon-Do at 10 years old, finding her spark in the martial arts. From there she pursued her black belt and was asked to teach while in university. She finds it extremely rewarding to share her love for the Martial Art with beginning students.

Meet Mrs. Chassity Arden
Mrs. Arden has been training Taekwon-Do for over 30 years under the guidance of Mr. Arden. Mrs. Arden has been teaching for the last 25 years. She has competed at the Canadian National level, winning silver and bronze. Mrs. Arden is currently a 5th Degree Black Belt and an International Class A Umpire. She has attended World Cup and World Championships as an Umpire.

Meet Master Grant Arden!
Master Arden is the owner and head instructor at Apollo Taekwon-do and has been training in ITF Taekwon-Do for over 39 years. He has been teaching for 31 of those years. Master Arden has competed in and won tournaments across Canada including Provincials, Nationals and Pan-American Championships. He won a Bronze medal at the 2018 World Cup in sparring. Master Arden is currently a 7th Degree Black Belt, a certified International Instructor/Examiner, and a Class A Umpire - regularly officiating international tournaments.

It’s always a sad day when students move away and have to quit class but it’s notes like this that remind us why we teach Taekwon-do. It isn’t about throwing belts at them to keep them enrolled, it’s about teaching them life skills to make them better versions of themselves.
