The best part about having a full class of students is that they practice on other nail techs FIRST gaining experience before ever working real clients.
This is why Obsession students are more confident and prepared than other courses that throw customers at you the first day of being introduced to an entire new trade!

Between the supportive peer learning group, our three class per week schedule, and our optional apprentice hours our students have more than DOUBLE in class practical career experience than other programs!

We start by mastering gel polish manicures and getting our foundation skills proficient before moving on to enhancements, you have to crawl before walking! We do jump right into incorporating fun art styles and gel polish by day 2 of class though 😉🎉

Trust.The.Process.
A saying thats often heard in our classroom and is proven time and time again. It doesnt mean the process is easy, but it does work.
The more you engrain and familiarize yourself with it, the more is shows in the results and the easier the process becomes.

This is why our programs require practicum to be done in class instead of sending students out the door with a quotas of photos to send back. Photos don't show the process, the struggles, the timing or the techniques that could be adjusted to yield the best results. We are with you every step of the journey, for questions, for hands on help and for your support and mentorship.

The beauty industry is flooded with "get rich quick" education models & it couldn't be more misleading.
"It takes years to develop your craft. Do not romanticize the idea of an ‘overnight success’. Be a student. Grow organically. Get really good. Hate your work. Start over. Find new ways to express the same ideas. The student becomes the master. Your time will come".

You wouldn't play a concert after only a few music lessons so why do so many people think this entire trade can be mastered in just a few hours?

The truth is it takes practice, pushing through frustration and a lot of perseverance, but you will never forget the moment it all clicks and you catch yourself beaming with pride. When the frustration turns to flow and the struggle into progress. Seeing students experience THAT moment, is what we thrive on.

Our educator stays hours after class, comes in on off days and is ALWAYS honest in the process of becoming a professional, and it doesn't happen overnight or even over a weekend. But, with the right mentorship, education and hands on experience it will happen, and a lot more successfully than express courses lead you to believe.

There's nothing better than showing someone who's been feeling discouraged in their trade that they absolutely CAN do everything they thought they couldnt.

But, it's not a glamorous process unlearning everything you knew, re-defining everything you know now, and putting it all together.
Its frustrating, its humbling and at times very discouraging. Then in that final moment, when youre capturing the end result it's the most empowering feeling.

It takes commitment, it takes focus and it takes courage but it gives back far more than it takes.
