🎉 What an incredible way to kick off National AccessAbility Week! On Saturday, May 30th, Pacekids Sundance opened its doors to the community! Families exploring our Early Childhood Services (ECS) and Community & In-Home programs connected with our transdisciplinary therapy team, toured our classrooms, sensory rooms, gym, and swing room, and got a real feel for the play-based environment we're proud to offer.
Children enjoyed gelato from Righteous Gelato , face painting from Kate's Face Paints , music, and inclusive play with Sprog & Sprocket . Thank you also to our amazing community partners: We Rock The Spectrum - North Calgary , 4Seasons Transportation , AdaptAbility , The RDSP Guy, and TUU Studio by CoutuKitsch . 💛

This year’s theme, “Building a Strong, Accessible Canada,” reminds us that everyone benefits when people of all abilities have equal opportunities to participate, contribute, and thrive. Our open house is one way we’re supporting this vision by creating a welcoming space for families and supporters to connect with our community, explore our programs, and celebrate the importance of inclusive and supportive spaces for children and families.
💫 When we create inclusive schools, workplaces, programs, and communities, we build spaces where all people feel supported, valued, and able to succeed.
At Pacekids, we are proud to support children and families by fostering inclusive environments where everyone can thrive. National AccessAbility Week is a time to recognize and celebrate the individuals, organizations, educators, advocates, and communities helping break down barriers and build a more accessible future for all Canadians. 💙
Want to support the movement towards a more inclusive Canada? Here’s some easy ways to get involved:
🌟 Share your experiences and help raise awareness.
🌟 Support and connect with others navigating similar journeys.
🌟 Practice kindness, patience, and advocacy to help create a more welcoming environment for all.

Last week, our ECS children had an amazing adventure at We Rock The Spectrum - North Calgary 🎉
They explored zip sliders, crash pits, carpet swings, and bolster swings, building strength, body awareness, and motor skills through movement and sensory play. And judging by these photos, our team had just as much fun! 😄
We're so grateful for community partners like We Rock the Spectrum who continually support Pacekids and the children and families we serve! 💛

Ten years ago, Geeta walked through the front doors of Pacekids to a much-needed feeling. She felt hope for her daughter, Jeeya.
At six months old, Jeeya began having prolonged seizures and was diagnosed with a rare condition that changed everything. Jeeya’s condition caused delays in speech, motor, and social development.
Through all the ambulance rides, long hospital visits, and countless appointments, Geeta feared Jeeya would not have the chance to learn and grow like every child deserves.
“This is where Pacekids came into our lives. Jeeya walked through those doors with such confidence, like she belonged there.” – Geeta, Jeeya’s mother
From those confident first few steps into our school, to her enrollment in our Community and In-Home programming, Jeeya spent the next decade flourishing, supported by our caring team and donors like you.
This spring, make a lasting impact on Calgarian families by donating to Pacekids today at pacekids.ca/donate
