Stop Measuring Fitness With One Number
After 40, fitness is about much more than what the scale says. Body weight is one data point. Strength, movement, cardiovascular fitness, muscle and what your body can actually do tell a much bigger story.
Fitness is bigger than the scale.
One Number Can’t Measure Capability
A good bench press doesn’t automatically mean you have a healthy cardiovascular system. Being flexible doesn’t necessarily mean you’re strong through that range. And your weight tells us very little about how well you move.
Measure what matters: capability.
Slide 3 — Train the Whole Human
For men over 40, I want four things moving in the right direction:
Strength. Muscle. Movement. Engine.
Develop all four and you’re not simply training for today’s workout—you’re building physical capacity for the decades ahead.
Slide 4 — Stay Capable
Looking fit at 50 is great. Being able to hike, travel, climb stairs, lift, play, work and live independently at 60, 70 and beyond is even better.
Don’t train only for how you look today.
Train for the life you still want to live.
Build a Body That Lasts
The goal isn’t to fight aging. It’s to build a body that’s strong, mobile, conditioned and capable enough to keep doing what matters to you.
If you’re a man 40+ and you’re ready to start training with a plan built around long-term capability:
