About Myself

Hi Everyone,

My name is Nicole . I'm a Mother of one that resides in Copperfeild. My entire life I've chased one dream. Having children of my own & working with them & others. This has lead to a lot of hard work chasing education, Obtaining my Grade 12 & attending BVC for 2 + years. Ive been in a amazing relationship for 15 years & married for almost 2 on top of that with him now. As he works in a Kitchen at work all day it allows Me & the Children to utilize the house as we see fit. It also means there's always good food & different dishes to enjoy for them. I love getting out side when we can with the kids & love teaching them new things to enjoy.
I have worked With Children now for just over 8 years, & always only left a employment due to Travel times on transit when moving to a new home & to explore new opportunities. I Absolutely love teaching children new things & probably get as giddy as they do when they succeed. Screen time is minimal unless its educational as kids have so much more they can do & learn besides watching TV. The best way for children to develop is though hands on activities, crafts & exploration. This I feel gives them the tools & experience they will need to build confidence & advance in life as they grow.
Below you will find a list of the different credentials I have earned over the years of working with Children. All of these certificates are viewable at my house as well.
As well I believe in a low Child Ratio 3-4 Max.

Payments

A) Holding Fees.

These are a 400$ flat rate per month unless stated otherwise in a separate understanding signed by both parties, & all fees are included. They are non-refundable once a commitment has been made to enroll. If I am UNABLE to provide the spot at the Agreed Start Date I will of course refund.
It is best to handle these payments in Cash, With a separate Written Agreement. There is no Holding Fee if Contract is Signed within 30 Days of starting.
*******Ex Signing on Nov,09 To Start Dec 1 would Void a holding fee. Regular Payment must still be provided on starting date. ******


B) Regular Monthly Payments

All payments will be expected on the First of the Month. They may be made in Cash, Or Bank Draft / Money Order or Email Transfer. Failure to pay may result in Legal Actions , & Loss of Child Care.

Current Regular Rates & Late Fees Information

Rates are in 2 Categories regardless of Age. Full Time Fees are for 4-5 Days a week & Part Time Fees 2-3 Days a week. To try & ensure a consistent Dayhome I ask that parents try & maintain a regular weekly schedule however again some situations can be understood with notification.
Late Fees will be Subject to repeat Offenders after 3 warnings. A Late Fee will be requested in Cash. To be applied you must be more then 15 Min Past Closing Time 3 Times. Late Fees are based on the # of hours late & do not include the 15 min grace period after 3 warnings. PLEASE NOTE: Snow Days Will Be Excluded From This! Please do not rush In Bad Weather.

Late Fee Charge : (1st Hr =10$) ( 2nd Hr =15$) **Snow Storms Exempt**
Full Time Regular Fee: 750 $ / Month ( 4 or 5 Days )
Part Time Fee / Before & After : 600$/ Month ( 2 or 3 Days )
***( Bus Stop Must Be Within Walking distance of the Dayhome)***
Hourly Rate : 14.00/Hr
Sibling Discount : 50.00$/ Off Per Child

Vacation & Days Off

Depending on the Normal Days the Children are scheduled the Fees May or not be Adjusted.
EX
1A) If Clients only have a M-T Agreement with the me & I took a Fri/Sat/Sun reg FT fees will still be applied. However the notice will still be provided in case.
In all Cases however I will work with my clients to try & line things up when available with all our Schedules to avoid any confusion on rate adjustment.

2B) If I were to be away for any more then 3 Week Days in a row Monthly fees will be Adjusted Accordingly & notification provided, as this is only appropriate.

3C) If a client is to take a period of time away generally rates will not be adjusted as to ensure the spot upon return. However some situations can be understood & occasionally requests considered on a case by case basis.

4) Stat HOLIDAYS & Vacations. All STAT & Long Weekend’s & Holidays the Dayhome will be Closed. Any other Time away from the Dayhome will be subject to the Clients Schedules, & Notification & Possible Price Adjustment if it effects the Clients Signed Contract

Sick Children & Pick Up Policy

Children with the Flu, Cold, Diarrhea & Symptoms of Such Virus’s are asked to stay home. If more then 2 Cases of Diarrhea are suspected in a day, a Pick Up will be Requested. This is to try & ensure no other children are affected. Medicine Can be given, however a Doctors Note & Permission form Are Required to be On File.
Only those who have been Approved by the Registered Client & Listed on the Approved Pick Up Form will be allowed Pick Up.

Am8:00-9:30 Clean up, Reading, Circle Time,
Am9:30-11Am General Backyard Activity Time, Snack & Juice
Am11-12 Pm Prepare for Naps, Play music
Am11-1:00 Pm Allow Naps, Serve & Prepare lunch
Pm 1-2:30 Pm Wake Up, Art projects & toy time
Pm2:30-4 Pm Outdoor Play & Exploration Learning time
Pm4-4:30Pm Snack/ Light Dinner
Pm4:30-5:15Pm General Learning Time IE/Shapes, colours, motor skills, puzzles.
Pm5:15-5:30Pm Prepare for pick up
This is general guide obviously & can change from period to period to reflect the current Dayhome needs. Not all Children will fall into this schedule right away. Efforts will be made to be adaptable when certain cases apply such as Newborns, & others. Any late arrivals, late wake ups, will still be accompanied with a meal or snack. Community walks will have picnic style lunches if not back at the Home in time for meal. I tend to bring the Children to the Library once a week for reading & exploring activities. There is very little screen time unless it is a Educational Video & even those will be limited to once a week.

On Regular occasion’s the Dayhome will visit parks in the surrounding community & go for local walks & social activities in the neighbourhood.
These walks & outings will always keep us within 1KM of the house. Anything further will require a separate Field Trip Acknowledgement Form.

All Clients Agree to 2 Weeks Notice Prior to Cancelation of Agreement.
Failure to do so can result in immediate loss of contract & 2 weeks Prorated fee requested or taken. Some exceptions may apply such as job loss, family death, sudden re-location of work.

All Clients understand that any Suspected abuse / neglect will be reported to the proper authorities.

No Child Shall be released to anyone other then someone stated on the registration form, without Written & Oral permission from the parent given beforehand.

To Whom it May Concern.

We would like to take a moment to Gently Elaborate on the Small Public Fiasco Moment Today , & first off as well Thank You to everyone for your support & kind words or staying quiet. It means a lot.

Everyone is entitled to there own opinion about how they feel treated, as much as everyone is going to handle situations differently even when treated the same , from both parties & all views.

In today's Instance we agreed that a Child would no longer be receiving care due to a unstable partnership between the Parent & Care Worker. All of my Clients receive all the same Options , Care & Compassion, & Contracts as the next. In some cases & their has been a few, I may have gone out of my way to collect payments past due.

In Almost Every Case Outside Hour Care is Requested Paid During the Shift.
However emergencies & sudden things can arise & can be understood.

In some cases Special Leeway may have already been granted for certain situations. Special Leeway(s) should always be given in Writing & by signed by both parties.

When Care is Cancelled REGARDLESS of whom Cancels, Personal Stuff will always be Picked Up Outside Of Dayhome Hours, and only after the Provider has rounded anything up. Anything missing can of course be requested & you may even be welcome to look yourself for the missing ( item ) WITH a Scheduled Visit , depending on the Stability Of the Parting Partnership. This is To Protect My Home , My Children & Of Course The Children In My Care. Outsiders Aside From Registered Parents will be referred to CPS ( Calgary Police Service ).

When I Provide Care for a Client I treat that Child as If it's my own. From the Attention Craved, To The Stern Voice needed to keep paint on paper & fingers out of diapers , to the environment provided , I recognize that the raising ability I provide will be reflected in their home time with you & me as they grow. And any one that questions this is more then welcome to come visit their Child during Dayhome hours by surprise. It's even stated in our contract. And if you don't have a child in my care yet , come for a play date Outside Hours & we can talk while they play. I have Space.
