To bring coaches and athletes together to discuss past, current and future problems, solutions and tactics in the field of Strength and Conditioning

04/21/2026

Had the opportunity to take Cavalry FC’s Sergio Camargo and Nathan Ingham through a soccer-specific assessment at XONE Performance.

For me, assessment is never just about one test or one number. It’s about understanding the full athlete. How they move, how they react, how they process information, and how all of that shows up in the game.

With DARI and Senaptec, we were able to look at movement, vision, reaction, and performance through a more objective lens.

The human side and the data side have to work together. That’s where the real picture starts to show up.

Great having Sergio and Nathan in with us.

Athlete spotlight: Rehab. After years of knee pain and injections .mccallum is finally pain free and ready to crush it this year. Can’t wait to see this cowgirl compete.

Amazing practitioner and collaborator.

Lorissa was first introduced to Pilates while in the Modern Dance program at Grant MacEwan College. She received her Classical Pilates certifications from the Dianne Miller Pilates Center of Vancouver and Embody Pilates in Canmore. Her passion for movement led her to New York and Miami for Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis teacher trainings.

With Classical Pilates as the foundation, she draws on her knowledge and experience of many modalities to create tailored sessions for her clients. She is a kind, generous teacher who believes that “Every moment of our life can be the beginning of great things” (Joseph Pilates, Return to Life). Lorissa is also currently studying Osteopathy at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy and enjoys integrating that knowledge into her sessions.

I wish I knew earlier how valuable and important diversification in knowledge could be. Many times over I have said “how could this ever apply to REAL life”? An outstanding book that shines a light on this idea.

Outstanding book. Thank you to Coach Tad Desimone for recommending this so many years ago. I got a chance to re read.

As a coach your job is to be a sounding board, a guide, to help carry heavy loads both mental and physical for your clients. Be present, be mindful and separate the ego from fact can be crucial to understanding your self and others.

Great example of a tuck jump. Great lumbar control and clean flexion. . Crazy to think that just over a year a ago she could barley walk with out back pain (herniated discs).

Lesson learned: (challenge your knowledge continually and AGGRESSIVELY )

This last week, has been a harrowing week for my point of view. I was absolutely flipped upside down with a completely new outlook on an idea I had been cultivating for over 6 years. I was WRONG!

This now has opened so many more doors and windows which I am positive will lead me to bigger and better things.
