As a Health Care Aide, Richie Guillem provides direct physical and emotional support to patients under the supervision of nurses and other licensed professionals. In hospital settings, Health Care Aides assist patients with their daily living activities like bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting and helping with their mobility and transportation needs for medical tests.

“The best part of my job is helping patients for discharge. I feel good when I see them happy and feeling well going home. My favourite dialog is: “Take care yourself, it’s not that we don’t want you here but please don’t come back (as we want you to stay healthy).”
