Knowing how to create safety in your mind and body is a pivotal skill that will help you take loving, compassionate, brave, scary actions!
The next time you want to make that vulnerable post or put out a pitch or whatever the action is that makes your palms sweat and your butt cheek sweat,
Make time afterward to bring yourself back to a feeling of safety.
Too often, we do things that stresses our nervous system but we don't take the time to rebalance. Instead, we force ourselves to keep going with the day in "oh s**t, oh s**t, oh s**t" mode.
That's not conducive to your wellbeing or to the progress of your business.
Go put out that pitch, hop on a call with a lead, spill your heart out in a post...but make sure you take time to quell your mind and body afterward and get back into "everything is okay" mode.

Seriously. Go nap!
While there are many reasons why you might be creatively blocked, the most common one is not being well rested.
If you're having trouble creating posts, writing that newsletter, coming up with workshop ideas...
Don't bang your head against the wall for ideas. GO REST!
The sooner you rest, the sooner brilliant ideas will once again come flooding in ✨
PS. If you'd like help getting into consistent creative flow, DM me for a Discovery Session. This is the exact kind of block I love helping clients get through.

Finding your path in life isn't linear - you don't just check off a certain number of boxes and then boom! You're happy.
We think that this checkbox strategy is how life is supposed to work, so we're baffled when we have everything we think we want but we're still not quite happy.
If you're like me, maybe you got the degree, the job title, the approval and yet something still feels empty.
Finding your path in life - one that feels alive and fulfilling, requires connecting with the inner truth within you. What does that deepest part of your yearn for?
Check in with yourself every so often - do you feel aligned, like you’ve clicked into a life that was meant for you? Or do you feel like you’re living the wrong life?
Sometimes you can be living your purpose and still veer a little off track.
Here are some telltale signs that you’re not quite clicked into alignment:
〰️Something feels off or stuck and you know it could be better
〰️You’re feeling lost or directionless
〰️Maybe it hurts (misery is an excellent indicator that you’re going in the wrong direction)
〰️You yearn for purpose and something meaningful
If you resonate, know that just the mere awareness that you might be misaligned is already a catalyst to get you back into alignment with what's meant for you. You don't have to move mountains or do anything. Just keep noticing 💖

With all that said, if you're ready for next steps come join me for the ✨ LIVING AN ALIGNED LIFE workshop series. I'll help you find your way back toward alignment and click back into the path that feels most meaningful, purposeful and fulfilled.

When I felt lost and purposeless, I hated it when my wise teachers told me, with a knowing smile in their eyes, "You already know".
I wanted a tangible answer, like "just tell me what to do dammit!"
Fast forward years later (along with heaps of growth & healing), I get it. Not only that, but this knowing has become foundational to what I teach.
Call it alignment, intuition, inner wisdom...we all have a compass within that points us to our best path forward.
It's okay if every so often you veer off path and end up lost and confused. It's part of being a human - we're here to learn. Take comfort in knowing that your compass is always here to guide you.

If you want to learn how to figure out how to use your compass, join me for an upcoming workshop series at Yoga Santosha (in person & virtual join in options):

I knowingly worked in the wrong career for years. When I finally had the guts to quit my corporate job, I was surprised that I felt sad about it.
Even though I spent countless hours dreaming about something better beyond the stale grey cubicle walls...
Even though what I was leaving for was a soul calling that felt aligned, like home...
There was a tinge of sadness to this change because I would miss seeing my coworkers, I would miss the security of a job title, I would miss this particular version of me who wore nice dress pants and drank artisan coffee.
This experience helped me learn that saying goodbye is bittersweet, even if it's something that you were ready to let go of.
A job, a relationship, a business idea that didn't work...an old version of you...
Change is hard.
But it's normal - it's normal to feel sad, anxious or uncertain. That's where you can find solace in the difficulty of change. The discomfort is a normal part of change, just as it's normal to eventually emerge with a new sense of liberation 💖

Resistance (or as I call it - the "mental struggle") is the self-doubt, procrastination, overplanning, fear... that comes up when you try to do something that expands you.
You 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 that you're meant for something more. You 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 that there's something inspiring that you're meant to do... but then you start to feel like what you want to share isn’t good enough or that somebody else does it better so why bother?
If it's loud enough it might even hold you back from doing what you want. You stay small and stuck tight in a bud.
You don't finish the website. You spend hours looking for the perfect color rather than just putting out the heartfelt post. You don't tell anybody about your new venture.
I've met Resistance many times - in fact we hangout almost everyday. When it gets too loud, I come back to this Steven Pressfield quote because the possibility of being "the writer who doesn't write" stirs something in me.
It brings me to the truth that I don't want to be the writer who doesn't write.
What's scarier than Resistance is the notion that if I let the self-doubt and fear take over me, I won't be able to become who I know that I can be. I won't serve at the capacity that I know I'm meant to. Never being fully me - always kind of hiding and staying small.
And then that reminds me of the purpose of all my desires in the first place - it's not to have the perfect website or to get a bunch of likes... at the end of the day, this is a journey of getting back in touch with the truth of who I really am.
✨ For more on how I use this quote as inspiration listen to Ep 225 of the podcast! ✨
✨If you're stuck in Resistance (aka. Mental Struggle) work with me for 1-1 coaching. This is what I do all day everyday for clients and myself! DM me or go to my bio for a call for more info 🌟

So excited about this one - if you’re a yoga teacher, massage therapist, coach, manager or somebody whose job it is to hold space for others, this is going to be so helpful for you!
Trauma researcher talks about what trauma-informed means and ways that we can take this approach.
We’ve all been through hardships and you don’t know who is experiencing trauma. Rather than avoiding or hoping that everybody is fine, there are some easy things that you can do to be more inclusive.
Megan has done extensive research over the last several years to better understand trauma, especially when it comes to what happens physically in the body (which we also talk about - autonomic nervous system, vagal nervous system...🤓💖)
Listen in to discover:
➡️What happens in your body when you experience a trauma (regardless of how big or small you judge the incident to be)
➡️What it means to be a trauma-informed practitioner and examples of how to hold trauma-informed space
➡️What your physiology does to protect you and how that response, if strong enough, affects you moving forward
➡️How to soothe yourself via the nervous system when you’re feeling unsafe in a safe environment
As usual, link is in bio to listen
