Calgary Homeschool Activities (hsactivities) is a support group that connects facilitates the organization and coordination of home education activities by parents in the Calgary Area. Our page has been created to foster a relationship between our members and companies, organizations and business individuals that offer homeschool activities. POSTING GUIDELINES

Companies, organizations and individuals may post information about their upcoming homeschool activities. The best time to post would be within 10-14 days before the registration deadline. You are welcome to post outside these guidelines but please note that, barring special circumstances, only one post is permitted.

2. All posts by activity hosts should be kept brief and adhere to specific posting format:

location - date (day) | name of activity, who is hosting it, where more information can be found for those interested. A description may be posted as a comment to the original post.

3. Comments and questions about activities are to remain respectful at all times.

4. Be careful about posting photos, especially of children/youth as this is a very public site. Do not post photos of children/youth under 18 that are not your own. No generic "call us to organize", advertising-style posts will be tolerated. Should you with to advertise to homeschoolers we recommend that you advertise using the appropriate channels, such as Canada's Homeschool Guide (www.CanadasHomeschool.ca) or another magazine/website. Friday Sep 26 | free party on Stephen Avenue Walk and Olympic Plaza 5 pm to 10 pm

Mayor Naheed Nenshi officially declares September 26-28, 2014 "Culture Days."

Stephen Avenue Walk and Olympic Plaza become party central September 26 as Alberta Culture Days officially kicks off in Calgary.

The FREE party goes from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and features BassBus with local DJs throwing down beats all night. Cowtown Opera hits the stage at 7 p.m., followed by a poetry slam featuring some of the city’s most riveting lyricists. The Wet Secrets take the stage at 8 p.m. and local post-punk band, Viet Cong is the headlining act at 9 p.m.

“This is going to be a heck of a party that all Calgarians can enjoy!” says Mayor Nenshi.
