We’re excited to announce that Chinook Winds is now officially Dynamic Winds!

This change aligns all of our performing groups under the Spiritus Marching Arts Association umbrella as Dynamic — creating a unified identity that reflects our shared values of excellence, growth, and community.

While the name is new, the heart of this ensemble remains the same: the same passionate performers, the same dedicated staff, and the same commitment to excellence, powerful performance, and innovative show design.

Meet the incredible instructional team for Spiritus Marching Arts Association 11th Annual “Ready, Set, Spin!” skill development camp. Join us for a day of growth, creativity, and fun featuring incredible instructors from both local and out-of-town teams!
Our featured instructor is none other than Dynamic’s choreographer, Robert Jordan a professional colour guard performer, designer, and educator. You don’t want to miss learning from him and the rest of our talented team.

John Meehan is a pageantry arts expert who has recently relocated to Alberta from San Fransisco California.
Working with marching bands and drum corps all over the world, John is most widely recognized for his work with the Blue Devils Drum Corps. He has also been a member of the Drum Corps International Hall of Fame since 2019.
A composer, arranger, instructor, and now the Executive and Artistic Director of Spiritus Marching Arts Association.
We are excited to share in his vision of growth while he leads us into a new chapter with Dynamic Colorguard and Chinook Winds.
