Here are my favourite photos from my travels to San Francisco.

As an architect, travel proves to be one of the most important sources of inspiration and education. Leaving our “natural habitat” allows us to encounter and experience designs and art we would otherwise never see. Furthermore, experiencing these sights in person is so different than looking at photos found online. So go out into the world, and look around you, then you will find yourself filled with ideas/designs.

KDG was approached to develop a contemporary industrial park in the new commercial / industrial subdivision of Crossfield. Being the first development in the new subdivision, our goal was to enhance the appeal of both Laut Avenue and Range Road 12 and create a building that acts as a focal point for the intersection.

Welcome to Emerald City. This community planning project was in collaboration with the Russian developer, Emerald Corporation.
For this project, KDG designed a new residential community for the Russian port city Vladivostok. The new community accommodates 1,200-1,500 residents and includes parks a community center, sports grounds and daycare facilities, 188 townhouses, 66 duplexes, and 83 single-family homes.

Visited another KDG residential design. This duplex is a great example of Knopov design’s modern style. The facade features a mix of attractive materials that beautify the home and surrounding community.

Revisiting Bellevue....
Here are some up to date photos of KDG’s Bellevue residences. There two single detached homes enhance the surrounding community, providing a modern edgy characteristic.

The exterior was designed through pushing and pulling parts of the facade. These motions reveal spaces for exterior activity on the upper levels.

Introducing one of KDG favorites: 204 Charlesworth is our proposed design for a mixed-use multilevel building located in Cochrane, AB.

The design was developed through the exploration of angularity, materials, and light to achieve an attractive and dynamic design. There was special attention made to the site as it is a corner lot with constrained proportions.

At Knopov Design Group we had a chance to get connected with our inner cowboy while working on this equestrian center in Rocky View County, AB.

This project is a modern take on a traditional riding arena. The building contains a yoga studio on the upper level as well as stables and a riding area on the ground level.
