John Lennon Birthday Celebration - 7 pm Wednesday 9 October 2024 @ "Democracy" statue in front of the Student Union Offices at MacEwan Hall @ The University of Calgary
We are planning a short short talk about John Lennon's life, possibly including a short Q&A, then we plan to sing a few songs and for those that are keen - we may play a game of Beatlers Trivial Pursuit
This event is free of charge & every Beatles / Lennon fan is welcome
Lennon or Beatles T-shirts are optional but recommended

Battle of the Atlantic Ceremony is at The Military Museums 10 am Sunday 7 May 2023 - reception to follow then we plan to play strategy board games that include some aspect of Naval Warfare especially those that include The Battle of the Atlantic.

Diplomacy went well in November - despite so many people backing out due to illnesses; we had a full 8 players and about 3-4 visitors.
In the end I think England & France each had 8 Supply Centres, Russia & Turkey each had 7 Supply Centres and Germany & Austria Hungary both had 1 Supply Centre each.
Perhaps we can have two (or more) boards next year.
